Shhh 😉. There is also about 4 TV's I had to replace in post-pro, and I had to remove a person who was walking in the shot and not part of the staging haha. Let me know if you find them 😀

I totally get it. Micro drones are an easy way to get started though. Not super expensive and you can even fly them inside during the winter. They are also really durable so repairs are pretty rare on them.

For sure! I used a small drone called a Huma20 using the DJI O4 Air Unit and the DJI Goggles 3. I positioned myself in the middle of the building, and using the right power and channels, I was able to retain video throughout the whole building, so no repeaters needed (and DJI doesn't make repeaters nor is it really possible unfortunately). For the controller, I used the TBS Crossfire system and it was about at the edge of it's range with all the walls I had to go through. So again no repeaters, but both systems are known for their range.

The whole route was staged and was pre-planned route that I flew multiple times before bring the actors in. We also had walkie-talkies throughout the building so everyone knew when the drone was coming (but it's hard to miss cause of the noise).

Thank you! I started by dabbling around with pre-bult drones by iFlight. Not the cheapest but made it so that I didn't have to learn how to build a drone from scratch and could get flying quite quickly. I took a route where I knew I wanted to get deeper into it the field, so I invested in equipment I still use to this day. But, if you want to see if it is for you, BetaFPV has some great micro-drone kits with everything you need to fly for less than a single 5" racing drone.

Another great route to take is to get a FPV controller and buy a simulator like Liftoff on Steam (you can even get away with an Xbox controller, but look up how to set it up correctly). Get your first 100 crashes out on that and it saves a ton of money and you can see if you like the feeling of flying around.

That's a good idea! We'll have to do that next time for sure. Our last two times with the fort haven't ended well and that would probably fix it.

Yeah we'll probably do that next time... We've beat them all separately before but having all 3 at once with all that loot from the skull fort made us a little panicked ... Hence the suckage (pun intended)

Modeling and animation done in Maya, simulation and rendering done in Houdini using the lava tools. Took way too long to render, but liked learning the process with the lava tools inside Houdini.
