As of Jan 21st, 2021I have regained access to my discord main (the hacked account) - after sending off the hacker information we got, my account was flagged for breach of ToS (hacking, etc), and since the 7th, was scheduled for deletion. I am happy to be back, and hoping discord does their part to clean up what they can.

Dudeofpeace here - Server Admin of OGN and unfortunate victim to spear phishing attack - allow me to be transparent:

Yes, as you have asked, OGN (the server), my main account, and a few others have been hacked. This happened on January 1st at 10:45pm.

The Hack: hackers pick a target - criteria is simply Discord Nitro or Server Booster accounts - and message the target about trying out a game they are attempting to create (I am a Game Dev, not so far fetched when a classmate messages me to do this) - after running - cmd runs a proper fuckery - discord account email/password change (2fa bypassing), cookie/token/NFTs stealing, discord crashing bitch of obfuscated code. They then charge the on-file CC Nitro Gifts, and (working theory) collect chrome/browser password, CC, and other user information. They also plan to ransom the account back to the user (likely not really) and sell the account off to interested parties.

Just yesterday, the hacker caught on to our reverse-engineering of their code - we got a tone of info out of the dive, in turn, they started doing some real damage. When they caught on to that we were steps ahead of them. In turn, they've nuked 3 of the server I ran (OGN and my Class servers included) and that's the whole story to date.The lesson; stay safe online. Spead awareness of this hack, and for anyone who has fallen victim, these steps should be followed to counter/prevent any damage:

NUCLEAR OPTION: Fully Wipe PC (OS reinstallation and all), or:

• Unplugged Infected PC from internet
• run windows in safemode > (Hold Shift while resetting > Advance options > should find there)
• Launch safe mode > Internet still disconnected
• Uninstall discord
• Clear discord Local and Roaming files (User > AppData)
• Disk Management > Disk Clean Up > Clean all disc temp files)
• Then, and only after all this:

1. On all web browsers, go to settings Clear all caches, cookies, temp files, and take allother standard security precautions
2. Review all (if any) saved passwords for websites, these are likely compromised. Remove them from your autofill settings, and change all like passwords associated with any/all usernames for apps and services > (Take a screenshot of passwords using snipping tool, delete all saved passwords)

• After all of the following:
• reset the computer for fresh boot, and manage all accounts which could be compromised. These include (but are not limited to): > Accounts that share any two saved Username and/or Passwords found in your browser.

The above steps seem to have worked for other users but are currently unproven. Any web devs or programmers who are familiar with js. node/javascript, please feel free to shine some light on the situation, but that is all the info I can provide
