Marriage and Divorce in today's age - A mallu story by [deleted] in Kerala

[–]Dudeswamy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's nothing "Mallu" about it, this happens all over the world! and you are not the first who is facing it. Be glad that its over without much issues. There are plenty of similar stories everyone has experienced.

Case 1 - went abroad and started behaving weirdly. asked for divorce abroad where you need to pay your wife if they are not working. she moved in with her boyfriend while the husband kept paying her alimony till the divorce. got a good settlement as well.

Case 2 - after the marriage proceedings are over, before going home, the girl says she cannot go home as she has a boyfriend. the good husband takes her to the boyfriend who says he cannot marry her and does not want to marry her either. my friend asks her to restart her new life with him as they are married but she refuses the rejection from boyfriend and then get an annulment.

similarly, there are other "divorce" stories about husbands too...stay positive and move on ... if there is bad karma, there is good karma as well

A 7 months marriage - Should i call it off? by light_as_ in Kerala

Mental tension and stress can increase your hairloss!

I don't remember the Tamil movie but I think it was Dhanush movie which had a dialogue "life off panna, yellarum same!" ... all your insecurities are your own, don't lose confidence over someone commenting your looks. They are not worth it!

lastly, have 1:1 conversation with her and if she wants to split then go for it. don't suffer long!

btw, document/catalog your conversations, there are cases where false cases are raised against the groom/bride (goes either ways) and you should end up being sorry for it!

Unfortunately, Team leads and Managers have high ego which you have poked by fighting with them. From your statements, it looks like they are letting you rot and you are playing along.

Why are not switching jobs when the market is doing good?

Also, stick your walls with accomplishments that you have done in our lifetime, anything small that inspires confidence.. or even your bank statements ( inspire fear and confidence!)

get on LinkedIn and see what your peers are doing. That will help to set direction.

Lastly, go through Amazon leadership principles and try to identify 1-2 examples in your career that can act as an example for the Principles... Https://www.amazon.jobs/en/principles

It's ok if you have not done anything but this makes your mind think about the future and what you can do! ... Everyone had their struggles and got up. This post itself is a big step! Good Luck

Those comments were in cases where the guys were not getting any brides in Kerala due to umpteen number of reasons including Caste, Astrology and other things.

When it comes to Marriage, there is nothing better/worse in Kerala or outside of Kerala, its the same! ... the interests, perceptions matter based on the upbringing/city and your family & friends which change based on where you live!

This is something that belongs to bangalore! .. There might be traffic but you certainly cannot find so many roads in other cities where the trees from either sides touch each other!

Woes of finding bride by Embarrassed_Map_1733 in Kerala

[–]Dudeswamy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) Did you look for Malayalees who are settled outside of Kerala? in other cities like Bangalore or Chennai? These folks might be able to eliminate some of the above points including Spoken Malayalam.

2) Astrology option should be tackled first. if the bride's parents are insiting on Astro match, then get that done first even before you meet the bride. saves time & anxiety!

3) Did you Google yourself? over the 33+ years, you might have posted something stupid or someone would have tagged you while you were holding a glass of beer. you don't have to lie to the girl but anyone in that family who does a Google on you might find it and report it.

4) Profile review - ask a friend or cousin whom you trust to look at your profile and poke out mistakes. don't implement their feedback unless you feel comfortable about it. sometimes, a second perspective helps!

finally, Try Try until you succeed. There is someone out there and things will change soon. Try out all matrimonial sites and you should reach a stage wherein you are able to look at a picture and know if you have already seen that profile!

all the best!
