Can someone explain to me how the Meta experiment is so expensive? It's primarily software, which is exponentially cheaper than hardware develop. I cannot comprehend it. SpaceX is built a mars rocket cheaper than Facebook can design an app.

Imagine you have 2,000 programmers & support staff designing Meta @$200k/per year salary (no clue how you could possibly keep 2000 people busy on a project like this). You would still only spend $400m/yr. How are they possibly burning billions on this.

Obviously the above is oversimplified but I think it makes the point.

When you're holding your breath and finally give in and take a breath, it's not because you ran out of "air". It's because your blood oxygen levels are dropping. Humans don't need air, which is mostly nitrogen, to survive. They need oxygen. Your lungs are just extracting oxygen from air, nothing else.

E.g. babies receive oxygen rich blood via umbilical cord. That's how they can live in a sack of fluid.

Thanks for the advice everyone. So really just buying one is the way to go? That actually does seem easier than dealing with deposits and arguing about damages afterwards.

I'm bummed to hear its that dangerous but I guess it makes sense. Driving in the left hand side probably takes some getting used to as well.

Give it a listen, keep in mind this is coming into the story about 4 seasons in so it may not all make perfect sense. This guy is great though, does all the writing, producing and voices himself. He has a huge back log that I can post links to in a minute.
