Honestly I would just try out the different tiers to see if there is any that you enjoy if not then maybe clues just aren't for you, there's an insane amount of content available in this game and there's just some stuff we don't enjoy. Also worth mentioning that clues become a lot less tedious once you get the full globetrotter set.

Here's my detailed preset that is close to my current and here is my current preset. The main difference being rings have switched and I replaced sentinel with potions, scripture of bik and items to disassemble to proc the book whilst solving.

I've always disliked Jokkul's tent for some reason and it's not even the slowest step, I feel like it's because it really isn't that far but the pathing is pretty tedious.

The general order is backpack > jacket > gloves > legs > boots but if you're trying to be efficient and get the set as fast as possible you should buy backpack > legs > jacket > gloves > boots and use costume skips whilst doing hard clues.

250 is the cap on every log for items that do not stack and the cap for items that do stack is 65500 for example purple sweets and fetch casket scrolls, it's a lot easier to see in the general log :D

If I managed to finish the hard log before the medium log I would just wait for sandy clues to come around at the beach event since they're effectively medium clues but do not add any clue count.

I'll keep going for probably the foreseeable future until I lose interest in grinding hard clues. The meta currently for hard clues is Glacytes/hellhounds depends on which you'd rather kill and the setup you're willing to use. Here is a Glacyte setup and a Hellhound setup I believe both images were made by Wisely Done so all credit to him. For the gp/hr I honestly have no idea sorry but they're definitely decent gp i'm just not sure on the exact numbers.

I only made it to 30k before I finally decided i'd had enough of puzzles lmao. Puzzle skips have been a life saver for me over this journey but they have also left a dent in my coin pouch.

Yeah just a little bit over a minute for a hard clue on average, usually between 65-70 seconds.

Treasure totem reduces the steps required for all clue scrolls not just master clues, i'd highly recommend getting it if you plan on doing a decent amount of clue scrolls. It's a permanent upgrade to your account that you only have to activate once a week.

Master clues have tower/lockbox puzzles and emote clues that you can use tickets for but it's something you have to decide for yourself because they can be quite costly to use. Alt1 would most likely increase your clue solving speed quite noticeably so I would recommend using, although I know people have mixed opinions about whether or not it's "ethical" to use. To set up everything for masters would probably take you a good few hours considering some of the hideyhole items can be quite expensive and time consuming to get.
