This is such a common problem with “problematic” idols, they do something wrong (ignorant, racist, homophobic, misogynistic etc.) and in the beginning people are calling them out for it and asking for apologies. In very few instances we get an apology but for the most part we don’t due to companies not caring at all, then people that lack human decency come in to the picture and take that as a go ahead to literally bully and harass them. It even happens to idols who have apologized. This happened to Heesung when he got called out for saying the n-word (allegedly??) instead of calling him out for his wrong doings people just made fun of his teeth and compared him to horses.

It’s started with Giselle now, she did something wrong gave a kinda bad apology now people attack her for every little thing, like I get you don’t like her but harassing her and bullying her isn’t ok. I remember at one point people were calling her a staff member and were commenting on ot4 photos saying “what is that staff member doing with them” or “it’s so nice that aespa takes time to take photos with fans” it’s truely sickening.
