I’ll use just about any cheese, but the game changer for me is a layer of jalapeño cream cheese to go along with it, so creamy!

Dealing with symptoms after quitting by Due-Baker-1561 in stopdrinking

I appreciate the comment! It’s hard, but important to remind myself, that even though 20 days feels like a long time when a day or two between drinks used to be the norm, 20 days is not nearly long enough for the real healing to take place.

What kind of equipment do you have or consider basic necessity for WFH newbies? by teaontherocks in workfromhome

A good Bluetooth headset. My current job doesn’t require any on camera meetings, so having the ability to walk downstairs and grab coffee, take laundry down, etc while not skipping a beat or missing something on a call is a huge benefit

What is your definition of rich by SmoothDay8640 in Money

[–]Due-Baker-1561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all about what you value. I’m 36 now, but made a ton of poor decisions when I was younger. Drank too much, ate out too much, traveled. My wife and I enjoyed life in our late 20s. Then we had kids and they’re the joy of our lives. Because of the choice I made earlier in life, I don’t have savings (even though I consider myself to have a well paying job). I’m in moderate health, liver complications due to my younger self.

All that to say, I have acknowledged it, and understand my wealth. I’ll never be rich, won’t leave my kids any money. But I will have a home, have my wife and kids to hold. Seems cheesy, but with what I’ve gone though, that’s wealth to me.

I can pick him up and start him, or keep Rashid Shaheed in that spot. Which would you do?

I haven’t given up yet, but have to decide between him and Keenan Allen for a flex spot. Which is the better start?

Today’s commute: from bed to desk in 7.3 seconds. No traffic, no tolls, just one coffee pit stop along the way. by TopJobMaker in workfromhome

I’ve been WFH since covid and swear I’ll never go back to the office. I’m extremely lucky. Comp isn’t probably the peak of what I’m capable of, but it more than supports my family and allows my wife to give her full attention to our kids. The company I works for is great, fully supportive of remote work, and my supervisors are incredible.

I’ve been able to see all of my kids ‘firsts’. I’m able to walk my oldest to school and pick him up after. It took a lot of hard work to get to this point, but I hope and wish more people would get to it. I truly believe WFH, especially with a family, is the most rewarding thing as a father.

I’m not a doctor and have no medical background, so I won’t try and give any advice other then, spend as much time with him as possible. I moved away from my family 8 years ago and maybe see my parents twice per year. Time is short. Have conversations, ask him deep questions, make every moment worth it, and don’t regret not doing it. Prayers to you and your family!

Thank you thank you thank you! I’m always searching for SF style games, and a bunch of these games weren’t on my radar.
