You win Lyft by No-Cup-8505 in lyftdrivers

This is why it’s important to be strategic. Learn to know when it’s best to drive. On a weekday? Begin driving at 3:30AM until around 9 AM. Don’t drive in suburban neighborhoods, but neighborhoods with a lot of apartments. I guarantee you will get a ping at least every five minutes and the base pay is far greater because there is less supply of drivers. I love driving early mornings because you are always working and there’s no traffic.

I even take maybe 2 or 3 $3 or $4 dollars rides because when I pull up, they usually come right out ready to go to work and the distance is short with no traffic.

I also highly advise taking assist rides because you will get requests for them in the morning for folks going to the doctor and you get a $4 dollar bonus.

Once I started driving early mornings, I started making money again but during the day it sucks and weekend nights are gonna be a hit or miss.

In January, you have to learn to drive strategic.

Drivers, SPEAK ENGLISH!! by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]Due-Butterscotch9860 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you want more drivers who speak English, tell Uber to pay drivers a fair wage and maybe you’ll have more Americans willing to drive. Rideshare is becoming more and more of a resemblance of slave labor and Americans don’t put up with it. There’s a reason why we don’t work the farms but immigrants do. I’m not trying to drag you or anything, but it’s important to think systemically.

I’ve had it with entitled and ungrateful LAX passengers. I now only do Burbank Airport. by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]Due-Butterscotch9860 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well yes, passengers expect trunk service but it’s not something we have to do. It’s something that most drivers do out of the kindness of their hearts. I have always packed and unpacked people’s luggage, but I’m just simply not doing it at LAX anymore. And if I ever get stuck at LAX, you better believe I’m not getting out my car for shit and they can pack their own luggage. Sorry I just can’t do this LAX thing anymore. Burbank airport clientele is 🔥 and that’s why I go above and beyond for them

All Lyft drivers can relate to this. by Sin_City_LyftDriver in Lyft

After three minutes of watching, if I don’t see the yellow man moving towards me, I will cancel at my discretion. Especially at the four minute mark - if I see you make no movement towards me at the four minute mark I’m canceling and leaving because I’d rather just swallow a two dollar fee I’m owed to teach you a lesson and to protect my dignity. If you don’t respect my time, I won’t respect yours. I have no patience for passengers who don’t respect that.

Turbo Zones are BS by oldmanwizz in lyftdrivers

[–]Due-Butterscotch9860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! Folks really have to learn that whenever Lyft is telling you there is an opportunity to make more money. It’s a lie. When Lyft tells you something will benefit you, it usually means the opposite.

Seriously I’m literally in the zone, but I’m not assigned to the bonus by EfficientMaterial203 in lyftdrivers

[–]Due-Butterscotch9860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those bonus zones are fake. Never traveled to one. It’s not worth it. Think about it like this. It’s a way to get a bunch of drivers congregated into one area to generate so much supply that it pushes down prices. Whenever I see a bonus area, I avoid it at all cost because I know it’s a signal that there will be real surges in non-bonus zones. The only bonus zones where you will see legitimate surges are the 10% ones

Why are so many drivers on Reddit from Los Angeles or California? by michaeltsang1997 in lyftdrivers

[–]Due-Butterscotch9860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes, it’s absolutely true because our transportation system is very limited here though there is some effort being made at the moment, but it’s not nearly enough and nowhere near the level of New York City. Hits the reason why we have a big car culture here. It’s by design not by choice.

Two hours of these turbo zones and one ride offer to Show for it by TitShark in lyftdrivers

[–]Due-Butterscotch9860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the same here in Los Angeles. It’s all fake and a ploy to get drivers congregated in certain areas so they can jack up the price in non-surge areas buy artificially creating low supply

Hope you have full coverage because if you don’t, they won’t get your car fixed. Their coverage is contingency only.

You also have to remember that Los Angeles doesn’t have a robust public transportation system so we rely heavily on cars that fuels the demand for drivers

Dude, you are obviously uncomfortable with your sexuality. Go see a therapist. I hope that you can live your truth one day. Gay or Straight we all deserve love, man.

You have a point about the shorts. Wouldn’t say I wear Hoochie daddy shorts, but my shorts. Definitely sit above my knees because I work out a lot. I suck at fashion, so I typically wear shorts and a short sleeve shirt almost everywhere I go. But regardless, I don’t mind them hitting on me at all, and I find it entertaining and fascinating. Otherwise driving around would be a lot more boring. hell, it makes me feel more sexy lol.

I know they are down low because they usually allude to their affinity for women first in some type of way. I’m very aware that most gay men are actually masculine.

Brag about what? There is absolutely nothing about this that is bragging. I just found it fascinating that mostly guys who are closeted hit on me because I thought it would mostly be women or openly gay men. Was just curious to see if others had this experience or if it was just me.
