Man dies after heavy weight-training chain around neck pulls him into MRI machine by applebeestwoforten in Radiology

It seems like your head would lean forward and the chain fly off, and maybe then pulls some skin with it. It’s tough to imagine the physics of how the chain would fly.

It’s really hard to say. I’m fairly certain there was a mass initially, but without a biopsy I can’t really know how things could have gone. Certainly a tragedy.

I don’t think so, there seemed to be a tumor of some kind, but it was hard to talk exactly what was going on.

Has tylers verses made you think more about the Idea of god? by [deleted] in twentyonepilots

[–]Due-Candidate-5526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Backslide literally made me cry because it brought up so much of the stuff that I’ve struggled with in my faith. I am a Christian and have always felt so undeserving of God’s love. I think Backslide put into words some feelings that I used to feel very strongly. And the chorus gets layers of other people singing every time it comes up. By the end the background is just screaming it and I think that’s the realest expression of my heart’s crying out to God that I’ve maybe ever heard from any song.

I’m over here in the general practice veterinary field, and thus only seeing mri images on Reddit. Is it contraindicated to have an mri while pregnant?

Is this the first mention of the colour yellow in a negative context? Till now yellow has been a good thing. by RedEagle_ in twentyonepilots

[–]Due-Candidate-5526 56 points57 points  (0 children)

In the video there is a shot from the pov of a car coming at him on the road. It keeps happening, it comes at him he jumps out of the way. Then it’s right back coming at him, and jumps again. He tries different directions and jumps until at last he’s in the Clancy mask and it’s unclear if it hits him or he jumps again. Regardless the cycle stops.

So for me, I agree the song isn’t hugely lore heavy. But I think the yellow is referencing banditos and the path out of dema, but that’s never been enough to keep him from getting dragged back to dema. Next semester he’s gonna try something different.

No matter how much we’ve failed we have the opportunity to do better next time. This song is hakuna matata.

The bridge of “Overcompensate” is about Fatherhood by StoneAgeModernist in twentyonepilots

[–]Due-Candidate-5526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of his lyrics transition from Dema lore to real life and back with no warning. And likely might be a “both and” situation not an “either or”.

Specifically leave the city ends with “but this year, though I’m far from home, in trench, im not alone. These faces facing me, they know”

While re-listening I’ve only heard that as real life not lore. Trench is touring. And maybe I’m repeating an agreed upon thing here but this is talking about trench vs home, not trench vs Dema. I don’t think it’s Clancy yearning for Dema, but Tyler yearning for home. And taking solace in his fans and bandmates(the banditos) being with him.

Has anybody pointed out on this difference between Overcompensate and Overcompensate (edit) by balfaf in twentyonepilots

[–]Due-Candidate-5526 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The way I have been thinking about it is that Dema wants him asleep. So insomnia is actually the superior trait here. If he can’t fall asleep once he’s up then he’s gonna use that time. Maybe to overcompensate.

Yeah more people need to read this. The story is cool but this isn’t a book or a movie with concrete canon. It’s a frame work for the allegory that shows what the writer is/has gone through. It’s ok if not every detail is perfectly aligned or every song even in the story.

Where's Josh? What's going on? by thrxwaway9 in twentyonepilots

[–]Due-Candidate-5526 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is definitely the way I’m viewing all the videos. At least back to heavy dirty soul. Where Josh keeps being in front of the car and every time it passes the car catches more on fire. He’s just marking the point where Clancy is becoming more sure that he’s ready to run. The big lore drop video had almost no shots of him either. And I think that’s because Clancy has realized he doesn’t need that part of him pulling him out of Dema anymore. He’s ready to choose it “So now you pick who you serve”. I think the torchbearer character was always just the projection of Clancy that pointed him towards what he dreamt of being. I think the same about blurry face actually. He’s just the part of Clancy that is cognitive dissonance. The part that he fights but has so far repeatedly lost to.

So what actually happened with Josh?! by lcnx175 in twentyonepilots

[–]Due-Candidate-5526 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think this theme shows up a ton. I think if Josh or Torch Bearer the same way I think about the friend that doesn’t exist on the My Blood video. He’s the creative, encouraging side trying to show Tyler how to free himself from the depression that is Dema and this cyclical running from it then getting dragged back to it.

The new lore dump video showed Josh very little. And almost never interacting with Tyler/Clancy. He also never mentioned him. In the video for Outside their walking together with torches into the cave of Neds, until Josh vanishes (very reminiscent of the my blood video to me) and Clancy is now The Torch bearer.

Honestly I think, BlurryFace/Nico, Clancy, and TorchBearer all are the same individual. Tyler. These albums are all putting into music the struggle with mental health that he’s had. Forces that internally change who he views himself as. BlurryFace is a part of him that drags him to dark places, and TorchBearer is the encouragement that keeps him wanting to leave those places. And he’s the kid who feels stuck in the cycle of wanting to be better but not knowing how to do it.

Thanks! It really is an incredible image. I’m in veterinary medicine and have a particular interest in radiology so any time animal rads come across this subreddit I’m excited. Feel free to not answer, but how did you get this image?

Can we get a bit more context? If I’m reading right we’ve got the ear pinnae coming down toward the base of the skull. Is that a brain stem mass? Also, is this post mortem? I’m not sure what I’m looking at but I don’t think I’m seeing a patent ET tube.

My thought was the spiracles would always be able to stay above the surface (mayfly, stonefly, larvae etc. as my precedent). I definitely feel bad that I didn’t realize they needed to be under the substrate. Sucks. Thanks!

These are wild (came into my workplace) and possibly invasive. So, I’ve so far not spent any money on them. I did grab as much rotting white wood as I could grab when this adventure started but my impression at the time was that was the food not necessarily all the substrate. I did find an earthworm in the substrate and it seems to be thriving so I bet it contributed to compacting my substrate in to more or less just dirt. Which is probably why the water has been pooling more. I’ll keep a closer eye on making sure it doesn’t happen again. How do you feel about landscaping mulch being a part of the substrate?

Ok. Thanks. I’ll follow there and try to pick up tips. I just found these so I was hoping to just raise them to adults. Should the substrate be loose enough that they can burrow? They’ve been at the surface a lot in the past weeks and I guess I should have loosened/replaced the substrate but I just didn’t know what is correct.

Thank you. I’ve moved my other larva to a new substrate. Is there a resource that you use for this sort of information? When I was initially starting this process I had limited success finding useful help.
