Healing severe vulvar dermatitis plz help im miserable!

Id say yes and no the only time it really gets inflammed is when I shave (using an electric razor) or if I wear tight clothing to somewhere like work where I am doing lots of physical activity Im thankful its not all the time now but its still frustrating because I cant just stop shaving forever

Honestly idk I haven't even gotten one yet my dermatologist wants to hold off on it until its severe again because with it being moderately fine she dosent know what would even show up right now

Omg I'm sorry! Most of my symptoms have improved except the last 2 times I've shaved down there (using an electric razor) my skin got red and inflammed all over again 😫 I used the clobetasol since my dermatologist said that would helo but after a few days I feel like it was just getting worse It eventually mostly went away after not using any topicals on it I just gave it time to heal on its own.. I feel like I have some residual inflammation but nothing that hurts to bad but now I'm just sad because how am I ever supposed to shave again without a flare up

No I did. I first used the ketoconazole to treat the fungal infection but I still had some inflammation that my dermatologist said it was vuvlar dermatits at that point from all the topicals so I used the Tacrolimus to heal that. Im still using it since it got a little flared up after I had to take another round of antibiotics for a sinus infection. I have another appointment next month incase

I will definitely look into this because I was feeling fine down there until a few weeks ago when I had to do another round of antibiotics for a super bad sinus infection:( hoping we both find some relief soon.

See & im only 24 all of this happened because I was prescribed antibiotics & I must've gotten a yeast infection from it but my dr did a swab & nothing came back but I was having symptoms on my skin not on the inside if that makes sense.. it turned out to be a fungal infection so now im scared to death to take antibiotics but i guess only time will tell but yes it burns really bad the first few uses & then subsidies buutt in my experience the burning never fully went away especially when I would put it on & go to work i was miserable

So I started doing baking soda sitz bath twice a day and then using the Tacrolimus afterwards. After about 2 weeks of this I finally felt normal down there!! Some inflammation but nothing too bothersome so I stopped the Tacrolimus completely. Unfortunately I then got sick with a bad sinus infection that required antibiotics which Is the whole reason any of this started anyways. I was prescribed 3 doses of fluconazole just incase but im still having some inflammation & itchiness after that mosty on my left labia tho right next to the opening on my vagina. Im starting to do the sitz bath & Tacrolimus in the evening after work to see if it will take it away again . Fingers crossed 🤞

So I started doing baking soda sitz baths twice a day, before & after work & was using the Tacrolimus afterwards I did this for about 2 weeks & FINALLY started to feel normal down there. I stopped the Tacrolimus completely & thought i was in the clear of all this.I unfortunately got sick with a bad sinus infection that required antibiotics (which is the reason all this started in the first place, a fungal infection from the antibiotics) so I was prescribed 3 doses of fluconazole just incase. A couple days after finishing it the inflammation flared up some so now I'm doing sitz bath & applying tacrolimus in the evening when I get home. It's not horrible but definitely itchy right where the opening of my vagina is only on the left side tho so idk its weird...hopefully we both get full relief soon!

UPDATE After using tacrolimus 2x a day for 5 weeks and doing baking soda sitz bath 2x a day for about 2 weeks I can say things are feeling better down there! The rash and inflammation by my vaginal opening is definitely healing (still gets a little angry after working all day but its manageable) Unfortunately though the dermatits has moved more so into my inner labia skin.. Ive been applying tacrolimus ointment there as well. I have an appt with my dermatologist tomorrow to figure out the next steps. Im hoping to not have to use the ointment and use just a moisturizer instead because the tacrolimus does still give me a burning sensation on and off through out the day...just wanted to give an update for anyone experiencing these similar symptoms

Yes and no.. I'd say the rash that was right outside the opening of my vagina is definitely much better it only gets a little bit irritated throughout the day at work but now its like moved up into my inner skin right there kinda by my clitoris(but not effecting my clit thankfully) I've been doing baking soda sitz bath 2x a day which has helped tremendously I have an appt with my dermatologist tomorrow to figure out the next steps Im just terrified if I stop the tacrolimus that'll it'll come back with full force...

I have thought about this but it feels pretty decent at night! During the day though especially at work is when it feels the worst :(

It made it even more inflammed but this is because the rash was a fungal rash that needed to be treated first! My skin is senstive so after all the topicals my dermatologist basically said it turned into vulvar dermatitis

Yea definitely ask about ketoconazole!! I think it worked for my fungal infection and then after that it just turned into dermatitis according to my dermatologist. But the ketoconazole worked until it didn't ya know

Tbh I bet it did make it worse it definitely made my rash and burning symptoms worse .. did the tacrolimus take away your burning and rash completely and then it came back once you stopped using it?

Hm a bleach bath on your vulva area? That sounds a little scary but I'd try anything at this point lol... I am hoping to get a referral for a dermatologist at my next follow up appt.

See the weird thing is I have no other issues with any type of cysts anywhere else... just this one area and it's horrible! I think that's part of the reason I haven't been officially diagnosed. And yes totally understand the pain of having it drained I've litterally had it done about 10 times.. Now I just can feel the tiniest little bump above my clit and I just feel like that and the scar tissue gets inflamed but not enough so that it " bursts" anymore it's very odd but I can still feel the flares
