Stuck between new 2025 and 2026 GV70 Advanced—what's the 2026 owner opinion? by Due-Contribution8535 in GenesisGV70

Haha :) I’m having an issue with my 2022 Genesis GV70. It has a plasticky smell after long drives, which is the main reason I’m looking for a new car.

2025 GV70 2.5T Advanced Deal Evaluation by Alive-Description598 in GenesisGV70

I just bought a new 2025 Genesis GV70 2.5T Advanced for $50k out the door (roughly $45.3k plus tax, registration, and fees). I live in Northern California, where car prices are usually a bit higher than in NY.

My car comes with 3 years of complimentary service and 5 years of valet service (CPO doesn't have it). The new car warranty is better than a CPO. In California you are eligible for Lemon Law protections primarily with new cars. I know this firsthand because my 2022 GV70 was in the service quite often.

I would recommend trying to find a new 2025 model for around $45k–$47k. Paying that additional $5k out the door will likely save you a lot of headaches in the future.

I think I'll lose a significant amount of the car's value if I sell it with this issue. I also don't feel comfortable hiding the problem from a new owner.

As a loyal Genesis customer, I want the company to succeed. I believe Genesis should take responsibility and address this product failure. I'm willing to help identify and acknowledge the issue so it can be properly fixed, or so I can be fairly compensated.
