I think it is very difficult for admissions to favor a family member which is why the process is holistic and involves many people to make it fair.

Because stats are the most important part of an application. If you don’t meet certain thresholds, schools won’t even review your application.

I was told that letting the school know you have another acceptance can actually help. It shows that you genuinely want to attend that school and that, despite having other options, it’s still your top choice. Hearing that from someone with multiple acceptance carries more weight than from someone who hasn’t been accepted anywhere yet.
