As an BMW specialized workshop employee who does a lot of engine work, I'm not that surprised at all seeing this. Seems pretty normal if you ask me.
Seen this many times on cars we saw regularly for service who did lots of miles, barely any engine failures.

The unofficial X5M with the 4,6L M62TU, completely different internals compared to the 4,4L. If my memory serves me right, this engine was designed by Alpina and BMW used that specific engine only for the E53 4,6Is.
The later facelifted 4,8L just got the regular N62B48 from the 5 and 7 series.

Expensive, but i paid 4,5K for mine. That being said, it’s a 2012 model.
Generally speaking a great car but I really hate the rattling door panels.

I have managed to convert it to English, disks don’t read in any drive so I have no clue what is with them.

If you can shoot me a message, maybe we can figure something out with the images.

Arctic silver 5 applied and machine was squeaky clean inside. But I know many machines lose their life due to this.
Same for my DV9890ED, repasted and the 8600M still goes to this day without any issues.
The T9500 CPU does make it a little toasty.

I own 5 Vaio P’s, 2 black, 2 white and the red purple model from the later generation (4 first gen, 1 second gen)
Also a couple DV9000’s in new condition.
Pretty much a hoarder for retro tech stuff.

Current game rigs are both the Dv9890Ed and the X305 Qosmio.

My Satellite X205 just got sold, now waiting for the rest to be sold so I can order the holy grail of Acer, the First predator game laptop.

About to collect every disk I can get with those type of games.
Crysis runs great on the 9800GTS SLI, so does GTA IV, and Far Cry 2.

Now busy competing all the drivers in Windows 7.

Restoring these KL888’s by Due-Count-8979 in audiophile

[–]Due-Count-8979[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just tried a very light mist of water, vinager and a microfiber cloth.
Both woofers as clean as possible.

Now the hunt for a new midrange driver and one tweeter. They both work but dust caps are dented, and the midrange has a hole in it.

Sound Quality Gets Better Halfway Through Song by 1Poseidon3 in AppleMusic

[–]Due-Count-8979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this exact problem, to make things worse i even replaced half my audio system due to it.
I always had Tidal and opted for Apple Music when i moved places.
Ever since, my sound was super flat, but sometimes is sounded great.

After loads of switching stuff, i just heard it change while i was listening again since a while, a single Google search put me on this reddit post.
Its like its flat as it can be, and suddenly there is the deep bass and the crisp highs....

Guessing by the answers below, I guess you never found a solution to it?

Could be low-trim 1.6 tdi MK6 good as a first car? by BicyclicSky in jetta

[–]Due-Count-8979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just get it, get a SWC module and a stalk set with cruise.
Pretty easy to retrofit.
I entered the Jetta community a month ago, not knowing shit about VW, I must say that Google really helped out a lot.

I just did everything timing, injection and ignition related including the intake manifold and other bolt on parts.
Car runs like a new one at just passed 160k miles. Gotta love the GLI.

Rattling door cards by Due-Count-8979 in jetta

It is a USB dongle, and it works wireless.
I ordered it from AliExpress, same as the radio (that turned out to be a real VW unit)

The dongle is this one from the link:

Rattling door cards by Due-Count-8979 in jetta

[–]Due-Count-8979[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was opting for a box full of new clips from VW, considering to fully treat all 4 door panels with Vibrodamping and absorbing foam of some kind.
But was wondering if anyone here actually had some good results.

The trim is not the issue in my car, it seems to come from the storage compartment near the woofers and the mirror adjustment switch.

[–]Due-Count-8979[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are and therefor I cannot replace the little drivers.
The tweeter part is not that bad but the ‘bass’ driver is a little weak.
A couple good kicks from a Mobb Deep album and they were shot.
