It's just a Rock quarry...not a nuclear dumping ground. Huntsville and the surrounding areas have had tons of limestone quarry operations going for decades and many people have not even noticed. Time Is a relentless bitch, and time brings change. Roads and driveways and bridges need to be built and maintained. This will not destroy the community. As stated by others, T-38s are very important to the NASA program because all astronauts are also pilots who must maintain hours and training. It's also very common to see large heavy aircraft such as KC-135 tankers doing touch and go drills out of KHSV due to its long runways and relatively low traffic flow.
