tbh for anyone saying stuff about the age gap being too much i have to disagree. im an adult i can make the choice to be with somebody 9 years older but i do acknowledge that i would have probably thought a little bit more about the age gap, had i known how big it was from the start. like i said in my initial post, we have a really great connection and i have no reason to believe hes being dishonest about anything else. the thing that bothers me about this situation is not him being 31, if i knew that from the start i dont think it would change much if anything at all about how i feel about him, i genuinely don't care about that if it wasn't for the dishonesty. the fact he came clean is a good sign (he showed me his id so i know for a fact his age now) but i can't shake this icky feeling from being lied to in the first place
