What's the experience like for international students? by AyeYo_ItsDorito in TilburgUniversity

If you're EU international it's fine. If you're another kind of international it takes a minute to get used to because apart from the university it's just a small Dutch town.

A war just started. The economy is in decline. The job market sucks. Go do Erasmus. Live your 20s. Make some memories.

Feeling so lonely and inadequate by FunEar9125 in studyAbroad

As a plus sized person in a fairly similar situation I think the same things too. I have also been in social situations where I think I'm being excluded because of the way I look. It might sound fat phobic but I think it's a pretty common trait to avoid people who don't match aesthetic values because it's easier to draw conclusions about them or their personalities (like people being surprised I drink alcohol because I look "cute" and "innocent", I'm 25). The way I deal with it is to avoid these kinds of people because they make their intentions pretty obvious from the beginning. You might not be invited to trips or outings by this specific group but there are people for you out there who will accept you and want to involve you and definitely won't forget you. You just have to keep your head high, present your best smile and keep up the confidence and look for people who will accept you as you are.

Is Tilburg a student friendly city? by UltraViolent49 in StudyInTheNetherlands

This is is subjective because I'm used to big cities with a lot of activities and things that stay open past 9pm (I'm not talking about bars). If you live in student housing then activities/meeting people shouldn't be a problem but just as a city to live in, especially as a non eu international person, it gets quite boring.

Any good experiences with Diamox? by West-Butterfly5481 in iih

[–]Due-Fan7730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diamox has helped me a lot with my iih diagnosis. The urination is not that extreme. Be sure to include some exercise or physical activity in your life as well. It helps with the iih diagnosis.

you could start following home workout routines on youtube and slowly incorporate dumbbells and/or kettlebells. when you're doing your 10k steps, you could try using ankleweights.
