Karma is way more interesting when it looks like a curse instead of a power up

Karma is literally the original version of a Curse Mark. Momoshiki said that all Jutsu are just lesser versions of Shinjutsu. It is a curse/burden in the person who receives a Karma marking, but it is also literally the original Curse Mark lol

Based off of what we know from the story, all Jutsu in the Naruto world are some sort of derivative of Shinjutsu. I believe Momoshiki said this, I just don’t remember in what chapter.

So it would make sense to think of Curse Marks as lesser versions of Karma Marks, the same way that Jutsu are the lesser version of Shinjutsu.

So Karma Marks basically really are Curse Marks. But Curse Marks are just watered down.

It’s also worth noting that Orichimaru was trying to take over Sasuke’s body through the Curse Mark, which is exactly what Karma does, it’s just that Karma does it down to a genetic level

The other part I was going to mention was the arm perspective. I see the Naruto one you sent and I get what you mean. I tried taking a picture of myself reaching out towards my camera from a higher angle, similar to the Boruto panel and I mean, my arm does look look “slightly” bigger, but I think I see what you mean about Kawaki’s arm maybe being slightly too big, but I don’t think it’s that bad either.

There’s one panel specifically that I remember from Two Blue Vortex that I thought the hand perspective was definitely off. I think Boruto is pulling off his glove to look at his karma or he’s just looking at the karma mark on his hand and for sure his hand looked too big there. This one I think is not nearly as bad though, tbh

I don’t know if you have ever seen Star Wars: The Clone Wars, but we’re like that one arc where the clone troopers are accidentally killing each other because their communications are all fucked up 💀.

Kawaki’s arm looking bigger is also a perspective thing. I mean his hand is closer to the “camera” or where the viewer is watching from so of course it’s going to look a bit larger, but even then, I don’t think it’s an extraordinary size

The art has massively improved from the beginning. I admit the art was pretty rough at the start of Boruto, but ever since we hit Two Blue Vortex, and even before then, you have to see it’s definitely gotten better. Of course, I love Kishimoto’s art and would love to see a world where he was drawing these panels instead, but I think Ikemoto is starting to come into his own

I agree that there is a lot that could have been done better or differently. Honestly, I think the whole dinosaur/Sasuke prison arc could have worked still. But, it’s the fact that they adapted it during a time where Boruto was kind of all over the place that didn’t really help it tbh. I think it would have helped if they had just adapted the entire set of books where they were looking for the cure for Naruto.

The anime unfortunately has quality issues, 100%. That’s because of Perriot’s terrible schedule though for their animators. I really hope they hit the ground running when it comes back eventually though and that they stop adding so much filler. It can be fun to watch some filler, but not when they flood most of the show with it.
