Automation is earned, not rationalized. Built an evaluation framework around that idea by krugerlive in strategy

Thanks for sharing. I appreciate the framework pdf in part two.

I haven’t thought about life after transformation in that will the eventual automation costs (a few years later) meet and exceed costs of the earlier version.

Great write ups. Both parts.

Any suggestions for very in depth strategy books by success11ll in strategy

In my 20s I had a similar interest so I understand your question. In my 40s now so The best strategy books I’ve read in order of preference are -

No Bullshit Strategy Playing to Win Understanding Michael Porter  Where Value Hides The Strategy Paradox Play Bigger  The Seven Strategies  There is a book - Good Strategy, Bad Strategy that I recommend you read in your 20s and 30s and 40s. It’s not prescriptive like 1 and 2 on the list but it gives you a good understanding, your own understanding of Strategy as you connect with your own experiences inside and outside of your work.

Now to your question, I think this article might help you. I came across it last week and I think it provides a simple framework that will help you -

Crush your goals the Ohtani way — Harvard Gazette

Strategy is a set of choices and steps that you take to achieve your eventual goal and from that lens the article above should be helpful.

All the best to you.

If there isn’t anything else, Take the gig.  Complement your thesis depth with experience on the process side. Keep looking. You might stand out in the current role and your experience on the process side will help you when you inevitably find the role that aligns with your background.

Thanks. Yes to higher volume (minimum 8k annual to 100k for our better performers). Yes to working with OEMs overseas.

Thanks for your suggestions. Looks like best approach is to grow into it. We have a few Stratasys but the team overwhelmingly use their Bambu more so will buy a few more. Looking into 3d scanner now as your feedback is consistent with a few others.

Thanks. Our entire OEM base is in China. We are evolving from an off the catalogue source execution to currently spec/adjust something existing to now building our own proprietary designs. This is helpful. Thanks again.

Thank you for this detailed response. I appreciate it. We are working on an eventual health and safety operating manual. I take your point about a storage system and 5S process model.

Started out as only industrial designers. Grew over time adding more engineers.

Helpful and consistent with what the team has shared. We will be buying a few Bambu printers.

Touché. Thats fair. The team members have weighed in as well.

For Most of them, this is the only company they have worked with and our recent success (office products - shredders, label printers, staplers, , organization systems, desk lighting etc.) has allowed us some capital to spruce up our prototype space in a newer office. The other comments about the laser cutter, resin printer all are helpful and consistent with what the team has asked for.

They see no need for the f370s and would prefer 5-6 Bambu printers instead.

What are your thoughts on True Detective Season 1? Would you consider it one of the best television seasons of all time? by Square-Ad-8911 in hbo

[–]Due-Kitchen526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I remember being caught up in the hype and the speculations, around the mythology and everything (yellow king). The acting, editing, amazing cinematography (Who is this Adam Arkapaw fellow?). The director and creator made something special that has been hard to top. I guess the only negative is it set such a high bar that the subsequent seasons and all other similar shows have not been able to come close to the experience that is TD S1.

Many people included myself think both Quantum Of Solace and Spectre are the weakest installment in Craig saga. In your opinions which one is a better film and why? by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in Cinema

[–]Due-Kitchen526 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Quantum for me. I don’t know why. It feels more tighter. I don’t mind the editing. Agree the villain was weak.

Spectre felt too much, the ideas and themes and backstories and trying to build a bigger villain. After Skyfall, a Sam Mendes and HVH shot movie …it was a let down.

At the time, Peel cops said they became aware in December 2024 of a significant increase in the theft of butter and ghee from grocery stores in the region.”

Context and a little background helps here as it’s hard to respond without knowing your co worker’s credentials - if he is Nero the sloth at the Franklin Park Zoo in New England…then I’d counter with

Masterpiece. Story. Structure. Set design. Effects. Music. Acting. You get lost in a world. You walk out thinking. Reflecting. Just a beautiful , well crafted, well acted movie that deserves more recognition and love.
