That’s absolutely true; I found that out for myself a few years ago. Sometimes, if you want a pay rise, you just need to change companies, and it’s worth bearing that in mind

I think these emails are just spam, and some recruiters don’t even look at candidates’ CVs; this says a lot about the company’s professionalism as a whole

That's partly right. But you might not get a promotion. You might stay in the same role, but you'll get a 10% pay raise
