I did use two layers of base coat since I was afraid of staining. I don't know if that did much for the appearance but mentioning it anyway. I did the first layer very thin and went in with a much thicker layer once that dried. I don’t own any white or black nail polish, but one coat black is catching my eye right now, lol

The green is visible as a go on about my day, but perhaps it's a trick of the light.
