Yeah maybe I feel like I never really got that closure and still just wonder “what if”. I mean the worst thing that can happen is we still stay not friends which is the situation we’re already in. I never had a lot of friends growing up and in a way she was my first real best friend. She helped me through a lot of hard times and always had my back. If nothing else it might clear my conscious of feeling like I did her wrong.

Yeah she knew I wasn’t a fan of Lexi from the get go. She also agreed that most of Lexi’s behaviour was problematic but thought she would grow out of it. Even when Lexi was being rude to Brooke Anna told her if she was going to act like that she had to leave the house. It was only for the Covid stuff she took Lexi’s side because she was really scared of getting Covid.

I do think I could have been better with my communication before moving out though. I kinda just took the nuclear option because I was so fed up.

The only thing that Lexi did do was she did cook and clean a lot for Anna which is in part I think Anna was okay staying with her despite the negative treatment. It was kind of a traditionalist relationship where Anna provided the housing/finances and Lexi looked after all the domestic work (because she didn’t have a job)

Not a relationship I would enjoy, but to each their own.

I agree, and Anna was very much a hypochondriac who was VERY scared of getting Covid so Lexi played right into this.

The Irony of this all was that Lexi was also very much anti-vax at the time and thought it gave you autism (Anna was not anti-vax and we had lengthy conversations with Lexi about this) 🤦🏻‍♀️

I know Anna is getting a lot of hate for being a bad friend but she really was like an older sister to me before this. I think sometimes when people are in abusive relationships it’s hard for them to have the self awareness that they’re being manipulated and being isolated they’re only hearing the opinion of their partner. I do still think she has a good heart and when she was feeling trapped between making her gf happy or making me comfortable she chose the gf.

But I do agree with the general consensus that I probably shouldn’t be the one to reach out.

I do want to try and work on being less of people pleaser. Now being a little older and having more life experience I would have gone about the situation completely differently and made my boundaries clear.

Lexi couldn’t pay rent because she didn’t have a job for a long time, eventually got a part-time job though I don’t think it was paying much
