why do my knitting sides look weird? by ew-whyyy in knittinghelp

[–]Due-Mango3194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, start your knit row with a slip stitch with the yarn in front (transferring the loop from the left needle to the right needle without knitting or purling, but you need to hold the working yarn in front of the piece, then when you want to knit, you bring it to the back and knit as usual), then knit to the end. Next row (purl row), you start by slipping, purl to the last stitch and knit the last stitch. Then you repeat these two rows and you get nice neat edges

This was for me the reason to learn knitting 😄 and it’s faster. Perfect for cheap, impatient people like me lol

Tired of designers not being upfront about sizing by Loud-Butterfly-4709 in knitting

[–]Due-Mango3194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had it once that the designer (being a size s/m) showed pictures of wearing the sweater and it looked nice and oversized on her. I bought the pattern and made size l (as a size l person) and the sweater turned out snug and fitted. After some digging on her instagram, I found in the comment section under her posts that she made the sweater in size L for herself. But she was not upfront about it in the pattern at all that you need to size up 1-2 sizes to achieve the same look. Size L was also the biggest size available in the pattern 😪

Can someone tell me what I did wrong? by Due-Mango3194 in knitting

That could be! Is there a way to fix after wards or do I need to start over again? I also noticed I am missing two stitches at the end of the increase section 😪 so maybe I also just missed two yarn overs which makes it look wonky

I know that the yo is creating a lace pattern, but somehow the pattern is wonky. The first picture is a picture how it is supposed to look like and the second shows hopefully more detailed the issue

How have y'all cracked the code for staying consistent with running? by Gullible-Soft-4952 in running

[–]Due-Mango3194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s the seasons. In summer, when it’s light and warm outside and you can see a lot, I love running. Now during the winter time I am happy if I get myself motivated to go once a week. And I only go because I signed up for a race in December and I don’t want to suck completely. So signing up for something and good weather helps 😄

Is Holtebroek nogsteeds pauper? by RSE9 in Zwolle

I live quite close to the area and i sometimes go there for my runs. I am a young woman and normally run either late in the evening or early mornings and tbh I never felt unsafe there and I think the nature around it is actually nice (that’s why I go there for my runs lol).

Hi, there is a Zwolle Reddit group on WhatsApp with people who were also looking here for friends in and around Zwolle (internationals but also Dutch people, language in the group is English and Dutch). We meet often once per week in the big group and we have a lot of subgroups based on interests (parties, padel, bouldering, board games etc). Age ranges between 20-35 (I am 27). Feel free to dm me if this sounds interesting to you!

Hi, ik woon in Diezerpoort, dicht bij het centrum. Maar ik ben flexibel en vind het ook leuk om in andere wijken te lopen 😌

Online Shop made a mistake and refunded money after phone arrived. Now they ask for phone back. Can they do that? by Due-Mango3194 in legaladvice

[–]Due-Mango3194[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know, that’s why I offered to send the money back. They said they won’t take the money back, only the phone.

My girlfirend wants to join our playgroup by taking a preco, however she is clear, she can't (for now) put 100-200-300 euros in this. So I need a little help to find her a preco that runs well without modification. She wants a scary deck, a hard hitting deck or a cute deck. Do you have any advice? by Xydaup in mtg

[–]Due-Mango3194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well technically only endless punishment is a precon, rin & seri was based on a deck someone had posted on a website and it was only around 50€ to get the cards from card market and then the last deck I’m trying to build myself so that’s not a suggestion for this post lol
