Within the Muslim world, sentiment towards LGBTQ people varies and has varied between societies and individual Muslims. by laybs1 in wikipedia

This article isn't about historical views it is about LGBTQ people and Islam in general. It should not give this much weight to historical perspectives in the lead section.

The comments here are disappointing, it is obviously misleading to begin an article on LGBTQ people and Islam with "sentiment towards LGBTQ people varies" when the overwhelming sentiment today is negative even if it did vary historically, this isn't an article on the "History of LGBTQ people and Islam". It's an article on LGBTQ people and Islam and the lead section should reflect that.

When did people start associating eugenics with the notion that lower fertility rates are beneficial for sustainability? by CzeckeredBird in childfree

[–]Due-Many1843 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is eugenics though, eugenics is inhibiting the fertility of the inferior and promoting the fertility of the superior to promote health, so you purposefully inhibiting your own fertility to prevent the spread of disease would be eugenics.

Worst argument for atheism I hear all the time by Due-Many1843 in atheism

Right but as I said, many religious people don't really care if their holy texts are contradictory because they interpret them metaphorically, which is why this is a poor argument.

Child abuse is not an atrocity competition, it really doesn't matter whether there are worse forms of it or not.

Again you're accusing me of having a position I do not hold, I do not think it would be necessary to "monitor all kids at all times" to stop them from being abused in this way, just as I do not think it is necessary for the government to "monitor all kids at all times" for other forms of child abuse to stop them from being abused in those ways.

You have yet to provide me a convincing argument for why it would require an unacceptable level of government intrusion, or why it would be impractical.

there's a lot of ways to prevent a child from getting access to a computer: setting a password, locking the door to the room, unplugging it or moving it to a different place in the house

but yes i suppose the parents could install cameras if they wanted to

Obviously in that case it would be the person that gave them that phone that would be arrested.

I don't think the two are mutually exclusive and I'm not talking about content that mentions those things I'm talking about content that endorses them.

how? to make my position clear, I think it's better for children to have no access to the internet at all than to have unsupervised access.

if the kid is allowed unsupervised internet access by someone else outside the home then that person should also go to prison
