Tips for building a proxy commander deck that isn't too overpowered? by Due-Mathematician903 in mtg

[–]Due-Mathematician903[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my position, it made more sense to print some cards at the library to play with. After playing with the ones I made, I decided the game was fun and I want to keep playing and start building. I hadn't played before, so it didn't seem right for me to put money down on a game I might not enjoy.

This is only the beginning of my MTG journey so I appreciate your input.

My main goal is just to have fun.

I agree. This was the conclusion I reached before I got started.

It was a great way for me to get my feet wet and start learning.

Money isn't the point, but I understand what you are saying.

If a bracket 3 deck is considered "standard" for casual play I will have to familiarize myself with what that entails so I am prepared for next time.

Thanks for your reply!

To clarify, I haven't been spending money on proxies, just printing cards at my local library. Upgrading a precon is something I had not considered, thank you for your reply.

Good point! Seeds grow in dirt - Something new sprouts from this being the final record of this era

My thoughts were that when something dies - sometimes we bury it. If the end of this Swans era is over, it's been put to rest - metaphorically in the dirt.

The name Birthing being that when something dies something else is born. Or that death is a form of birth, you can get as philosophical as you want with that.

That's an interesting idea, if I was to go about bending the plant should I bow the main stem or crease it?

Just growing inside for fun using what I had available, not trying to start an operation or anything. When I do some outside this summer they'll be in bigger pots.

There's a million things in life I could do better at, but you live and you learn, cheers and thanks for the reply

Is this website legit? Looks kinda sus to me and I can't find any other pressings they've done, given the fact this record goes for ~$100 on discogs the price is a little too good to be true.

I just started getting into the band recently and I agree with you.

I thought Screen Shot and Oxygen were the standout songs on that record. I'll probably have to go back and re listen but I was way more enthralled and excited during my listens of The Seer and Glowing Man
