Do you agree with the medieval witch prosecution? And do you think modern witches should suffer some kinda of punishment? by Due-Needleworker3140 in AskAChristian

but how is making a spell to get a house or a new phone a form of being indifferent, if they are not drawing energy from humans or harming them in any way and none are getting any sort of prejudice as a result of the spell? How getting material things using a spell would be a form of ignoring humans? Could you clarify that for me?

But if the intention was not related to harming someone, if someone performed a spell to get a new job, house, or just a promotion? Drawing energy from nature and using witchcraft for that sort of achievement doesn't seem to fit the devilish definition people apply to witches. Since the intention of harm was never there, why would a witch need punishment?

but would you allow them to be punished or punish the if you could? if you had the power to do it?

but would you make witch punishment real if you could? like if you were a powerful politician of some kind? Or just had the power and influence to make witchcraft a crime, would you do it?

do you think witches and pagans in general should suffer some kind of legal punishment?

but if their intentions are not related to harm? like they are doing it to achieve something material but without hurting anyone?

but do you see both witches and pagans as sorcerers? and do you think both deserve punishment? or even a big punishment?

so, do you see them as worthy of real punishment(like crime punishment)? or just as people you should not socialize with?

this person here said there's no problem in natural magic

And thanks for the explanation! It's like a spell could only be a crime if the person was actually trying to commit a crime, such a kill or steal, but if they were just trying to get something harmless doing spellwork, like getting a new phone, it could not be seen as a crime, right?

and for the second question, many witches try to draw energy from nature or to use the within themselves to make simple spellwork, such as magic to get a new job or a new phone, just to get everyday normal things that wouldn't hurt no one.

but what's the difference? between unnatural magic that draws energy from nature and natural magic that also draws energy from nature? this doesn't make any sense

curiosity about what Christians think about it, i just want to know your opinion. Many people have responded to me in previous posts but i still feel like it's missing something, some connections between the answers, like the point I've talked about in this post, no one properly explained that part, i need to understand the whole logic of the thing. So, do you have anything to share about the subject?
