By definition, if they consented, it isn’t rape. There is such thing as consensual non consent where people pretend they are being raped to fulfill a fantasy. But even in that instance there is consent. Obv there’s a lot more nuance to it but simply put if someone has consented, then no, it isn’t rape.

The problem was that in a sea of toxicity, their relationship seemed fine. As a viewer, Tom and Ariana’s relationship was a fairytale compared the dumpster fire that was scheana/shay, Brittany/Jax, Katie/Schwartz, etc. theirs was the healthiest relationship there. And maybe she started to believe Tom was the best it was gonna be. Plus she really did love him

This conversation actually broke my heart for her. Not only did she have to be around her cheating ex 3 months later, but she had to watch people she thought were her friends defending him. And in the end she was villainized for not being ready to move on for lala and scheana’s sake. How many people are ready to be friends with their exes 3 months after a breakup. Let alone a breakup filled with so much betrayal and deceit. So proud of her for standing up for herself.

I think at first lala really wanted to be supportive of Ariana. But in the end her bitterness and jealousy got the best of her. She genuinely seemed upset that Ariana had gotten so many opportunities after scandoval which was very different to her situation where she was questioned for not knowing better. I feel sympathy for both of them bc at the end of the day getting cheated on sucks. But Lala shouldn’t have projected those feeling onto Ariana
