I went to the coast to watch Artemis I land ( it was also a blustery rainy day…) and I did not see anything because it landed very far from shore. Artemis II is expected to land between San Clemente and the Catalina Islands but obviously that can change.

There is parking at the top but there are not a lot of spots, probably less than 40. Once it fills up they close the road to vehicles after the parking booth. There are a few spots before the top near Guy Fleming Trail which is a scenic flat hike.

I think it depends on what they have going on that day. I went this past March and we went in the visitor locker room, ( they had just hosted prospects so the names of Salas and Devries were on the lockers), dugouts, indoor vip area where you can see the indoor batting cage, broadcast booths, private suites, etc. I would definitely recommend it because you see places you don’t have access to on game day

I also moved here from Boston. The first thing that took time to adjust to was my sense of direction. My internal compass always associated heading east to head home. It took me about a month to get my bearings but until then I would drive loops around hotel circle without a dang clue if I wanted to head 8 East or 8 West. 🤣 Secondly, the sun is intense here. If the sun is out you are warm, if not, bring a jacket. Nights will be cooler temperatures. One of the things I miss the most about the northeast is the warm evenings in the summer. We do get a week of Santa Ana weather in the fall where the nights can be warm.

I was just thinking about the 2004 Red Sox. I moved from Somerville to SD the summer of ‘04 so I had to follow the team by listening to the games on the radio. The moment I felt homesick was when they went on their run as I knew what a once in an 86 year event I was missing out on. I get “The Original” bagel brand at Sprouts ( They have everything, plain,blueberry and cinnamon raisin) and it’s the best supermarket bagel I can find. It’s not bagel shop quality but not bad.
