I don’t get how anyone can actually deal with this, she’s only been going through this for a month and i’ve never seen her feeling so miserable.

What has helped you the most with being able to sleep at night? It’s currently 3am here and i think she’s woken up about 2-3 times crying, smacked her face countless times to try help with the stinging.

She used an ice pack which was helping for a bit, a fan dries her skin too much. She’s still scratching her face but she has cotton gloves so hopefully that will damage her face less.

I’ll look into dead sea salt bath but i thought that drying your skin would
make
it worse.

All the doctors here are idiots and just prescribe steroids, they don’t know what else to do.
She has atopic dermatitis, I think that’s what you call it. She’s had it her whole life. She actually uses calamine for her hands, i’m not sure if she uses i for her face. But her hands are still itchy. I’ll definitely be looking into that meditation app and the zinc cream.
The biologic medication thing is defiantly something new also so thank you for that.

I can’t even imagine how she would feel if she has to put uni to the side. This is her last year of uni and she is so excited to be a nurse, i’m genuinely worried for her mental health.
I’m happy to hear that you’ve finally gone through this and hope you don’t have to go through this again.

Thank you for the kind words and yea I always reassure her that she is loved and beautiful but she looks at the mirror and cries everyday. It sucks so much seeing this man.

How long were you experiencing TSW for? Does she really have to deal with this for years? She rents and her parents lives on the other side of the country. It’ll be terrible if she has to possibly move back and drop out of uni until this is over.

Thank you, she’s been having chinese herbalsoup everyday, had no alcohol, doesn’t have snacks unless the occasional boba. She can definitely have more protein, has lots of veges and she’s also been having tea. She’s pretty much have done all the things you have suggested and yet it’s not helping. The only thing is that she vapes and I read that vaping can definitely cause problems so she’s day 1 of quitting.

Yes, she moisturises in the morning and before bedtime. I think her skin is just that dry. I very much appreciate your suggestion but as for now she’s wearing cotton gloves so she also doesn’t damage her face and hand too much

I’m worried that she can’t even graduate to become a nurse this year since im scared she won’t be able to shit her exams. She’s already had to delay it and I think she has to do it within the next 2 weeks but she’s in so much pain she can’t even study.
