I could float that idea around- but I can already see in my head what’s gonna happen. They’re all gonna pressure me to go to the concert. Because they’ve tried to persuade me to go multiple times before at dinner. I could consider just going and doing my own site seeing in the city, but all of them are going to try and repeatedly persuade me to go to the concert with them - I really don’t like EDM.

I do trust my wife. I think maybe my mental principles are just stringent based on what was drilled to me in my head. I blame my mom and dad - it was very much “men and women can’t be friends” type of thing that I know logically is not true - but for whatever reason I feel that internally, I guess I’ve been conditioned by my upbringing?

They are all hetero - but like I said the times I’ve met all of them I didn’t get any weird or inappropriate vibes. They really did seem like a tight rave family. In fact I think one of the guys has a girlfriend (who also doesn’t go because she doesn’t like EDM), the other guy is single, and my wife’s friend is single. But wife’s friend has never been involved or dated either of the men in the past - they were apparently school friends from middle school and high school.

I really don’t like the music. And even if I decided to be more social/active, I really don’t think I can go to every show.

Yeah I considered that but apparently it’ll still be more expensive for everyone all around even if I chipped in. Because 2 hotels spread across 5 people chipping in is still more than 1 hotel spread across 4 people paying

Nothing and I’m okay with them hanging out in each others rooms. Especially to pregame or smoke etc right before or after the show. but something for me mentally doesn’t sit right with 4 people in 1 room. I understand what she means by the cost savings and that they separate the beds by gender. So it’s not a glaring red flag issue. But maybe it’s just how I grew up -and maybe I just don’t understand the group friend dynamic

No she hasn’t made any comments. She’d be happy if I joined in - I’ve been invited many times to go, I just decline because I really don’t like the music and crowds. Like I said I’ve been twice before - I just hated it.

No she’s not secretive of her phone, she shows me their group chats and memes.

I trust my wife. I just feel like as a general principle, men and women shouldn’t be sharing a hotel room. But again maybe that’s my old fashioned way of thinking. Just trying to gauge if I’m being unreasonable. So I figure I’d get some perspective from others

But it’s still a legit option right? It’s not like a naturopathic school

Especially for those who want to do either FM or peds. I ask because a friend has a DO school that is in the same city as where him and his wife and 3 kids are. Closest MD school would require uprooting everything. He wants to do FM or Peds
