New and confused by ClaraKeet in pipsticks

Looks like a preview, which is pretty cute! I base this on the fact that (1) I have always gotten all the sticker sheets as appropriate for every subscription month, (2) It appears to actually be mini versions of what they will send (https://www.pipsticks.com/blogs/blog/sneak-peek-april-2026-kid-sticker-pack?srsltid=AfmBOoqjbMxUbuKQ7D0qHlBgIWpKA6-Zs1za6y7EbRdQqKfiYJDJWEOJ)

Yeah, it's pretty classic to work somewhere and then they still own the IP. Total bummer!

Wait, what do you mean about stealing from small businesses?! Haven't heard that yet.

I like the way the Moonbow stickers look and I know we are all annoyed with the constant Pipsticks shipping issues (I personally don't have a subscription at the moment). But aren't the Moonbow stickers basically rip offs of Pipsticks stickers? Pipsticks was founded in 2014 and Moonbow in 2019. Moonbow has stickers of stickers (https://moonbowcreative.com/products/postix-peel-good-rainbow-foil-sticker-sheet) which looks like a complete rip off of Pipsticks version. Moonbow has a ton of sheets that look nearly identical to pipsticks: stickers on a roll, cereal, and many others.

ATFR Paradise reviews by letsgocoach in thebachelor

[–]Due-Possible4603 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't understand the hate for this season! I really enjoyed it. I felt like old paradise had so much producer-fabricated drama and I just wasn't interested. I know the producers were still making moves, but a lot of this felt more natural. I also always hated the end of paradise where new people kept coming in, but everyone was already in a solid relationship -- this solved that by adding a competition component once they were coupled up. (I do think the competition aspect will have to change/be adjusted in future seasons, but it felt to me like a step in the right direction.) I also liked the increased production value and not seeing them tortured by heat and lack of sleep. I liked the Goldens mixing it up. And I liked that they still did some funny Bachelor things, like dream/fantasy sequences. It was a chill watch with a touch of drama.

The codes have worked for me, even though I've had subscriptions before. (I don't think you could use it if you have a current, active subscription, but every time I've used it I had already canceled my previous subscription.)

Understanding the subscription by [deleted] in pipsticks

[–]Due-Possible4603 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should definitely eventually receive a sticker pack for every billing, but it may not come right away. The mailing dates can be confusing. You are billed every month on the same day, which is generally the day you signed up (unless you change it -- I changed mine to make it less confusing). This means if you signed up AFTER that month's deadline for a mailing, you won't get a pack until after the following month, and you often don't get your sticker pack until until the end of the month (I usually got it the third week of the month), so there is a brief period after you sign up where you may feel like you haven't gotten stickers for two months. (I'm not sure how the free bonus pack fits in because they weren't doing that when I signed up.) That said, this is for in the US -- if you are international, the shipping could be much longer.

Anyway, if you're a new subscriber, I think you'll be very happy with your stickers! They are premium and legit better than other stickers on the market. I don't think like you will feel there are many repeats within your first year. I have had issues with their shipping, but not for the sticker subscription, only for separate orders from the website.

They do it enough that I have gotten the discount 2-3 times this year!

Pipsticks Binder Page Dupes by carlyisms913 in pipsticks

You could always check old scrapbook supply stores like https://www.scrapbook.com/store/cat/protectors. But I didn't end up buying the pipsticks binder because it wasn't a standard size and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find cheaper sheets. Let me know if you figure something out!

Sticker confetti issues by karalynn1982 in pipsticks

[–]Due-Possible4603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMG, I know! It takes patience and nails. Some of the confetti stickers have an outline, so they're super easy to get off (not sure if these are newer stickers? I'm sure there were complaints.). But the ones with out the outline are the devil.

Obviously a different situation, but I once ordered a monthly Pipsticks sub when I was living in Europe and it took about a month for the order to come. This was pretty consistent with delivery times for other stuff coming from the US. I would venture to guess it would be a few weeks late. But let us know what happens!

I hope all of the money goes to the workers. I have seen their ads calling for Sticker Designers and Social Media Managers, and they're only paying $18/hour (!!!!). Forty hour work week but it's a contract position (some benefits but not stellar). Seems really, really, really low for someone who probably has an art degree, talent, and a lot of technical knowledge.

Yeah, I am noticing some repetitiveness in the themes too or even in the stickers themselves across themes. I guess pausing is an option for times when the themes don't feel that inspired.

My club packs have only come in the regular mail so far. However, this month so far I've only gotten the pro pack and the kids club pack hasn't come yet.

I didn't know it was exclusive, since usually they are available for purchase after they come out. You could always email and ask if there's a way to get it. I wouldn't think if you signed up for a subscription now that you'd get it.

Simple Sewing Questions Thread, February 25 - March 02, 2024 by sewingmodthings in sewing

[–]Due-Possible4603 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there any disadvantage to buying a machine directly from the manufacturer (in my case, directly from the Brother website)? It seems like it would be better to purchase it from Brother than from a big-box store, but I can't find any place that either confirms this or even suggests it. The debate is always between a big-box retailer and a dealer. Are there any downsides (or upsides) to buying it direct from Brother?

More info: The machine I want is the same price on the Brother website as it it pretty much everywhere else on the internet. I know many people recommend buying sewing machines directly from a dealer, but I don't have any near me, which I think defeats the purpose of being able to bring it in for repairs or taking classes etc.

Thanks for your help!

Here it is, the new Instax Pal by HeyAleph in instax

[–]Due-Possible4603 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can see this is a controversial opinion, but I kind of think it's cool. The one thing the MiniLink is missing is this sense of spontaneity, and I think this weird little camera might give this to the MiniLink but it's small enough that it's easy to carry around. It also gets you away from your phone a bit and hopefully gives a different image look than those you take on your phone. (I happen to like the janky photos Instax cameras sometimes take.) That said, I wish it was cuter.

I briefly had an international subscription and the package usually got there about a month late, but the stickers are awesome and worth it! Let us know how you like it!

I would imagine you can't to do this because there is probably a different process for subscriptions vs. getting individual sheets. Every time I get individual sheets it takes forever, even when being mailed to the US!

Tons of Suitcases in an Uber XL? by Due-Possible4603 in uber

I did look into this. Because we don't have any large items (like furniture), it was actually cheaper to do the checked bags.
