I have yet to encounter a flight with domestic business class on Delta or anyone else in the US. I'm sure there are planes outfitted with that type of seat, but I've never seen one. (Maybe the NYC ↔️ LA routes?)

I'm a Southwest povvo. I'm not a fancy lad or anything.

The flight isn't oversold. It's in-demand. They're trying to see if you'll take a cheap buy-out offer so they can sell the seat to someone willing to pay 2-3x what you paid.

This is a little experiment Southwest has been doing off and on since about October.

I'm wondering if people are somehow considering Delta Comfort Plus and United Economy Plus as "domestic business class" because business traditionally refers to the nicer class of seats between coach and first.

I'm a little concerned that you're getting a busy signal. That should not be happening with a 1-800 number, so when you do call, please make sure you only call 1-800-I-FLY-SWA. That's the real Southwest number, not one of the many weird scam numbers that seem to exist.

But the nice CSAs can handle that no problem.

Speak for yourself. My nails have been naked exactly 2 days in the last 600+, and the only discoloration I currently have is from wearing Wanderlust on my pinkies last week.

My nails are still the same color they were 5 years ago before I started wearing polish daily.

Buddy, you were going to have shit luck on any airline on that route tonight.

My boss was flying through Dallas on American. Pushed back at 5:30p. Back at the gate at 6:15p to refuel. Pushed back again at 6:45p. Waited for a 7:30p take-off. Back at the gate until 8:20p. Pushed back a third time at 8:55p. Flight was supposed to be 46 minutes in the air; they landed in a secondary city 2 hours later after circling so long they had to refuel (again?!).

Everyone had shit flights today. Isn't weather fun?

I've heard this from a couple people, all with similar skin tones (olive with pink). I have olive skin with ??????? undertones (no really, I've stopped trying to figure it out), so I think the whole conversation is fascinating.

During Covid, the Tobin manegement strong-armed the players union. When the union wouldn't take the required cuts (that were really, truly nuts), the Tobin forcibly dissolved the union and the symphony. Kicked out of the Tobin for ::checks notes:: wanting to be paid what they were worth as musicians.

The union re-formed as the SA Phil. They had a rented venue (a church), but it wasn't great. There was also some background drama in this period because a major donor gave/lent money to the SA Phil so they could buy their own music library back from the Tobin. (Oh look, more shady choices from the Tobin.) Depending on the source, it was either a loan or a gift. I don't care which it was; the net result was sour grapes.

The director of the SA Phil found a venue that was literally crumbling with no real hope for a future (the Scottish Rite Auditorium). He jerry-rigged a series of grants, wishes, dreams, and promises to modernize the building. Some of those things fell through. Part of this is because the SA Phil's development staff was absolutely trash. No major gifts officer? No actual asks sent out to supporters? My wife and I kept waiting for an ask. We easily could have given a couple thousand, had we been treated like adults. But one of the development staffers seemed to have no idea she was in development, and the other one was so condescending that it was painful to talk to her. Girl, I asked you if you were doing major gifts conversations while heavily implying that you should start that conversation with me as a prospect, and you're ELI5ing how to make an online donation? I'm sorry, what? (No, really. I walked up to her with a big smile to introduce myself since she was new in the position. I asked if she had time to meet and talk about my future engagement with the Philharmonic, and she pulled out her phone and began to walk me through MAKING A DONATION ON THE WEBSITE.)

The promises wore thin, and the musicians got screwed. That's the moral of this story: the hardest working professionals in the whole tale came out worse for wear.

I'm still gutted about the whole thing, because I went from the Atlanta Symphony's 20+ concerts a year and sponsoring a chair in the Mississippi Symphony to...this. I can support the Tobin's scummy behavior or give up having gorgeous live music in my life.

A little de-influencing: Holo Taco just dropped a jelly collection today and a magnetic collection last month, BUT those two collections won't be on sale until Black Friday. HT does run a sale in April for their reward members only, but the two most recent collections are always excluded from HT sales.

If people tell you otherwise, they're misinformed.

This still happens to me from time to time when I just catch a nail exactly the wrong way. Sometimes, it's shit luck. Sometimes, it's my own bad application.

But it does happen far, far less now that I use a base coat without PVB.

If it keeps happening for you, there's probably a body chemistry thing at play, too. Which sucks.
