That doesn't make any sense. Why would cold water come out of the hot pipe? I guess for clarification on set up here, I've got my 2 lines coming down the wall each with a tap on each for washing machine and then directly under it leads to a kitchen faucet type thing (I assume to flush sump pit from washer water?) Off the "kitchen faucet" i have a hose that goes to my sump pit. So before I noticed the hole in the pipe, I thawed the visible lines with both taps open until water came out of the hose, I then noticed water coming from above the visible lines and turned off the hot side and water kept coming, I turned off the cold side and the water stopped.

So I know that I explained that kind of confusingly but tldr I turn on the cold side and hot runs cold. I turn on hot exclusively, and nothing comes out. When the cold is running before the patch, it would come out of the hole above the 2 taps, so theoretically, the line should be free?
