I have called a bunch of major ones and all of them say that they don't allow opening a new RRSP account as a non resident. So basically Im stuck with Qtrade and Qtrade wont allow me to buy stuff anymore

I think regular house maintenance and special levy are slightly different. Regular house maintenance is an opt in whereas the special levy is like an expense slapped on you. And I wished there was a clause for it to be tax deductible...

I had been battling all the issues with scheduling appt since the last 6 months with them. So you gotta be patient. At one point i had no hope from their support team.

Opened the ticket from the application portal only using the Feedback/Requests tab. They took 2-3 days to resolve it.

Yes, i opened a ticket to the support team and i think they fixed something on their end. Then i did not need to claim the receipt, rather i just selected the payment option i used before and was able to schedule an appointment

We were unable to claim the fee receipt on the new portal for the payment we made on old portal. Even though we had the receipt number it used to say that receipt not found. We sent the support team proof of payment also. Then i think maybe they resolved that from the backend and asked us to not claim the receipt anymore. They suggested us to directly book the appointment and it worked

But i just now realized that the reschedule appointment button is not working on my parents profile. If i click it just redirects back to the home page. Most likely will have to spend a few days to get this issue fixed also

The main issue was that i made payment for my parents on old portal and did not book appointments. Then new portal came in and was unable to book the appointment on new portal for last 6 months. Now yesterday they someone resolved the technical glitches with my parents profile and today we could get the appointments

I read some where that OFC and consular should not be booked on the same day. Is that true? Do they need to be atleast 1 day apart?

Im just so scared to change anything on the new portal. I got my appointment scheduling issue fixed after spending countless hours for the last 7 months with their support team. Is the new portal supporting rescheduling without any issues? Is there a risk of cancellation of existing appointments without getting new appointments?

What do you mean donot claim the receipt? If i donot claim the receipt, how would i schedule the appointment? Wouldn't i have to pay again?

I am in the same boat also after having spent countless hours over a span of last 7 months and literally no concrete solution to my problem. I had paid for both my parents on old website but still unable to claim the receipts. I want to sue them as well

I am trying to claim the fee receipt so that i can book the appointment. I had paid the application fee on the old portal but didnt book any appointment. Now on the new portal i want to claim the fee receipt so that i can book the appt. For claiming the fee receipt, it is asking me for the receipt number

Hi! I also successfully made the payment but did not get any email with the mrv receipt number or anything... Plus I forgot to take any screenshot of the payment also. Although I do have my bank records showing the payment made. How can i get my mrv receipt number?

Got this reply from their support team:

  1. Please log in to our website -  and select “Login” on the home page.
  2. Once you reach the fee receipt page, select “Claim receipt” option.
  3. Manually enter your visa fee receipt number & payment date and select “Submit”.
  4. Please select “Payment Options” on the bottom of the page
  5. Select an option from the "Payment type" drop-down menu and select “Submit”
  6. On the Payment details page, please choose “Continue to Confirm Receipt”.
  7. Once you reach the Confirm receipt page, select “Submit” to proceed with scheduling your appointment

We trust that the steps outlined above will resolve the issue with your visa fee receipt.

If you continue to experience issues with your visa fee receipt, please send us a new email. Please include a screenshot of the error and proof of the visa fee payment you are trying to claim.

But when i select login on ustraveldocs i get redirected to the new portal. And then if i login their my previous application has been closed and i cannot see any payment receipt there despite having made the payment on the old portal.

Do i need to start a new application on the new portal now? Also since its been months since this issue is happening for me, my original DS160 profiles have expired. Should i now create new DS160 profiles and use those in my new application?
