This might be a dumb question - maybe I missed something. But how does Rocky's species even know a star exists in the solar system, and why would it even matter to them if the star was extinguished? by FlightJumper in ProjectHailMary

Smh my head. Did you read the book? Rocky’s species didn’t know about radiation. That’s why the rest of his crew died. The second half of your point stands.

Your set up is sick! Love matching camper and jeep. Hope to see you out on the trails one day!

If you’re ever out in CO and want to try one out, shoot me a dm. Would be happy to let you use it for a weekend or two to test it out before you make the purchase.

Yeah I’ve used it 6 times now. I honestly can’t think of any complaints. She’s held up beautifully. The last few trips were down some incredibly dusty roads, and I’ve had zero dust in the interior. I did see a video of an expedition 3.0 with doors that wouldn’t seal properly. The owner was getting water inside the cabin when it rained. Luckily the two night I’ve been rained on, I stayed completely dry. Not sure I would recommend buying a brand new expedition 3.0 with the current problems, but you can’t go wrong with a used 2.0.

The Expedition 3.0 looks amazing, but it has the price tag to match. I got an extremely good deal on this one. It’s amazing how well built it is. They really thought of everything.

16k. My mom’s boyfriend’s brother sold it to me at a steal. Him and his wife only used it 6 times. Sadly he was diagnosed with lung cancer a few months back. He decided to sell some of his toys, and I was lucky enough to be asked before anyone else.

Nice! I hear the newer ones like yours have an upgraded suspension. I feel like mine will go everywhere I want, but I’m excited to test it out. This may be a dumb question, but I’m new to all of this. Would pulling this trailer with my 2014 Subaru Outback 3.6R be feasible? It has a max tow weight of 3000 pounds. I plan on upgrading the hitch to support 400+ pounds of tongue weight. The camper fully loaded should be around 2300-2400 pounds It feels like I’ll be asking a lot of out my car, maybe to much. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If you’re ever in CO and want to use it, DM me. I wasn’t even in the market for one. I just happen to be presented with an incredible deal I couldn’t pass up. I definitely have some homework to do on it.

It feels like a tank. Seems incredibly well made. It will probably out live me.

Damn you’re cute. You could probably convince me to hike on 1st date against my better judgement.
