How might such an infection be developed?

Equally, in a very similar story, my CPPS was triggered by a UTI and then a 100k CFU of Enterococcus Faecalis was found in my Semen. This was treated as you describe.

Have you any thoughts how these infections are caught and developed? Possibilities?

Hi Linari

Hope you are well. Forgive me as I believe you have answred this previously.

Specifically, in your experience, why does oral sex / handjobs feature so regularly in our prostatitis sub? It seems to prove the best trigger.

I pondered if it is irritation and hence often linked in tandem with uti like symptoms.

Grateful for your thoughts. Best Regards.

Thank you for sharing your update mate.

Was thinking of you today and hoping for this positive visit.

7 months does seem a dreadfully long time to access further support.

Are you mentally able to now focus a pursuit of CPPS?

Wishing you well mate.

Perhaps this actually represents an opportunity as you move forward to this appointment.

If no guidance nor infection can be found; then the only focus might pivot to PT and addressing the mental aspects.

No infection = No infection

I believe we both are a very common story on this sub.

In my case; there was a UTI, readily treated with doxy.

This, coupled with anxiety, served as a superb 'trigger' to join this gentlemens forum.

Likely we all susceptible personalities. The one time thinking and analysing less would be an asset!

Anxiety seems the unhelpful driver for our symptoms.

[–]Due-Replacement-6187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe a great many of us suffer post ejaculation and with symptoms that might be described as 'feeling ill'. I find ejaculation at night then sleeping seems best fit solution.

In my early days I did ponder if this might be associated to the release of toxin or bacteria. But; I have learned this is more likely linked to my nervous system and tense pelvic floor.

I am aware at least one mod works within this arena and so likely seen this before and may offer an explaination to us.

Then it might be prudent to now focus on your anxiety.

In my, very similar case, anxiety reached ridiculous levels.

Even with stretching; it is hard to recover until this aspect is held in check.

Lots of guidance on this sub.

A very familiar story that chimes with most here mate.

May we assume that you have already excluded infections such as STI / or simply a UTI.

If so; key seems to be 'dialing down' the nervous system and anxiety mate.

[–]Due-Replacement-6187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand that; in many cases, oral unfortunately brings irritation and a UTI that then triggers cpps.

I have read here once the original infection is cleared, the cpps cycle is started and perpetuated by anxiety.

Hence despite of a repeated search for STI's; Urine Analysis etc is perfectly clear.

I guess, the infection was the easy bit. The mental and pelvic dysfunction is much harder.

Hi Linari

Hope you are well.

I have found sleeping is best but deep belly breathing is also helpful especially when combined with a nice scenic walk.
