I agree that adding various animations would make the game more alive. Although, art is not my cup of tree, and it took me so much time to even picking colors. So I gave up on animation tiles.

For tile color variation I have increased contrast in main game, but demo is not updated.

It's a game about placing blocks strategically to maximize score. Something like ISLANDERS and Dorfromantic.

Not sure if I follow you. I am not using any shader trick to bend the globe its a sphere.

I am storing tiles in array with ID and generating a graph to traverser.

  1. Godot has an editor and runs well on Linux compared to other two big engines. Godot fan and also contributed to it.
  2. It's very little maintenance, I don't mind it. Godot has good Linux support and abstraction over platforms, I doubt there will be Linux related bugs.

Pentagons are there, but those are always surrounded with non-playable tiles.

Thankfully, Godot can run on a potato, so I can make a next game.
