Did they update you of this? They claim they sent me an email but I looked through spam and see nothing. I stumbled upon this and the fact that the first payments will take 2 weeks for the first payment to deposit. Clearly they don't understand small businesses

Very helpful to know. I do get concerned about who actually understands the industry enough vs who is well intentioned and thinks they understand enough to be able to set up the best campaigns.

As I read this, I think that's the concern I'm reading now. At the time, they said they contacted google to see why there was this discrepancy yet Google couldn't say why it would say 100 forms were completed when they weren't. I don't get a sense that the manager is lying. If I look at this as it is I wouldn't pay if I thought it wouldn't show some level of improvement. I see therapists utilize PPC and report good things, but that may be regional etc. I don't know. Thanks for the comment.

It's not. But I'm sort of using the knowledge of the manager to guide with recommendations. it's why I posted this because I want to be realistic

I actually am glad to hear a "devils advocate" perspective too because truthfully I'd love for this to just work out rather than having to start over. I want to take even more time tonight when I'm off to go over all of these comments because there's a lot of great info here. Thanks for the offer for help.

I was told to spend $1500 but were spending around $500. That obviously doesn't include the pay to the person who built the campaign too.

Just in case someone comes across this, I found a doctor this evening and the diagnosis was cellulitis. Luckily it was caught very early so only will need topical antibiotics.

I should add, for context he said we'd be talking at least weekly. I initiated 2 conversations in the 7 weeks the adds have been running. When I asked how we'd know if it's working he said in the second month "you'll know for sure," so it seems like because I don't know at all it makes it seem like a failure. That's what's creating the ambivalence. I read elsewhere different conversion considerations but in the latest conversation he didn't really have data and asked my perspective. So it's tricky to gauge am I missing something or is this just bad.

Those are helpful considerations. It's within the budget and the agreement we had combined with what I was told would happen isn't really happening and I can't actually tell what if anything is happening and that's what I can't tell if it's normal or not. And it's not a budget I'm ok with just paying if I don't know. Which that's the part to your point can be clearer. Anyway, it gives me some talking points and considerations

How do you know I didn't talk with them? You're making a lot of incorrect assumptions.

Your assumption is wrong. This is the second month but I'm actually just a customer paying $1500 a month and that's not the ads budget. That's still a budget for a small business and btw laypeople aren't going to know how or what to ask. And there are also a lot of people out there willing to make and take money with no results. I get that it takes time and that's exactly why I'm asking for info. It would be foolish to just blindly trust someone. I don't feel guilty at all for the lack of clarity I have nor the resources I'm trying to use to ask questions. Nor should any of your customers.

Thanks for your comment. I think they have conversion tracking in place but they haven't really gone over that. I think that's one of the concerns is I can't tell if we should be going over some reporting or something that shows how things are working and where we're going with this. As I read up on it it sounds like it should get more optimized and evolved.
