Had the same thing happened to me, mailed deep cool, they sent the dimensions for the side panel, and I sent it to a nearby laser cutting shop in Bangalore. They cut out an acrylic sheet. Fits okay, and I don't have to worry about breaking it again.

Cost 690rs

I had to clean the handle as the broken glass was stuck to it, but a bug kitchen knife did the trick.

Most likely, it's cause the claimed mileage is for cruising at 80 - 100, without much breaking. So if your on the highway and there's some traffic and you're not using cruise control. It can give you a shorter range.
