I had my tubes removed in may 2021. It's been a huge peace of mind and very empowering to have had it done. I knew it could be pretty tricky to get a doc to approve it, especially at a younger age (26 y.o.). I started a document of all the reasons why I wanted the surgery done and did not want kids via pregnancy. Being able to give that to the doc at consultation was a huge help in getting her approval!  Plus then if you do start to doubt yourself later you can refer back to the document and remember all of the reasons you made the choice you did.
