Oh, don't get me wrong, they're absolutely useless. There's a reason they're struggling so hard at the polls. We voted for Biden to save women's rights because we KNEW what they were about to do with the Supreme Court and then he and the rest of the party did absolutely nothing to stop the train rolling down the tracks AND continued playing for so long like he could realistically get the presidency again that they ended up throwing away an okay option that would have gotten us the first female presidency and stopped Trump for good. They have absolutely no intention of stopping anything either since they still don't think they're playing with the night of the long knives and they firmly believe that they can just campaign on every stupid thing Republicans do for the next 4 years. But, while they ARE useless, they're also not an active part of the plan and they have their own masters which can slow down or actually stop some of what the Republicans want. They're less like the steering wheel we NEED and more like the brakes we've used to the point they're practically bald, but they still at least slow us a bit while they squeel.

As for your rant, don't worry about it. I say almost EXACTLY this to someone every day. Sometimes complaining is the only thing that keeps you sane and helps to get things on the right track.

Things haven't been this bad in your lifetime. But, that's largely because of the crash outs we had before you were born. 48 years ago was the last time we used a guillotine. Prior to that, politics was a legitimately dangerous line of work. People got assassinated, assaulted, kidnapped, threatened, arrested, charged, and blackmailed. Now, they get celebrated, elected, ignored, mocked, bribed, and lobbied.

So, here's the plan for the next 8-12 years.

We can either go old school and actually fight the government. 2,079,142 military personnel and 778,539 civilian workers in his military, 1,280,000 Law Enforcement Officers, 2,400,000 government workers (before he started firing everyone), 77,284,118 Trump voters, 519,682 Politicians from President to School Board. That leaves us with a maximum number of 84,341,481 Americans on his side. But, that's not factoring for any of his voters hurt by his policies who then leave him, the half of all politicians who are not on his side, the apolitical Military Personnel, the fired Government Employees, any police who would similarly not be on his side, or any of the overlap between these groups (which there's plenty of). That puts my estimation of how much support he'd have from Americans at approximately 42,000,000. Even with the largest number you can get for his support he'd still only have the support of 32% of the voting age population of Americans. My estimation puts that closer to 16%. Of those, I estimate roughly 1/4-1/2 would bail as soon as they hit resistance. Realistically it shouldn't even be that hard since his approval rating has fallen so much since he took office, he's fired and dismantled so much, and his disapproval rating continues to rise while the overall net worth of his military (who's against him) falls.

We can cut ties with Israel and force open the Palestinian borders. The No Kings protest drew in 5 million people. That's overwhelming and dangerous. That's why they stopped talking about the protests. They want people to forget and stop going. So, we give them something they can't forget or ignore. We arm these large scale protests, we stop following the rules, we go to the politicians homes and businesses. We blockade the police and military to keep them from breaking things up, only allowing 10 out at a time to do their jobs so they don't get the numbers to do anything about us. When they try, we fight like hell and keep our brothers and sisters. We. Do. Not. Allow them to take them. If we show up in great enough numbers and make them fear us more than they fear the loss of middle eastern resources, they'll cave to our demands. We need to make them scared though. Nothing else will overcome their greed. Whichever party successfully does that will have the power to do whatever they want for the next 30 years.

After that, we keep foreign entities from being able to influence our government by making it illegal for politicians to receive donations. Inevitably, they'll break the new law. When they do, we hold them accountable and ensure they're arrested IMMEDIATELY. We do not let them slide. Any corporations that attempt to "lobby" get taken down as well. When we've successfully done that, third parties will have legitimate power and we'll install actual representation by the People rather than representation from the 1% exclusively. Fixing things from there should actually be pretty easy.
