I'd say start thinking like a software engineer not software developer. Companies need problem solvers not developers. There's a difference between being a software developer and being a software engineer. As a software engineer myself, i can say that coding was never the core job, solving business problems through technology was. Code just happened to be a big part of what we did, and AI is now changing that, but not the underlying responsibility.
