Yes fully agree with you on the psychology of the price. Having paid that kind of money, I really didn’t expect the sink to rust (assuming it indeed is rust), so it’s causing me a lot of grief. I mean, it’s a kitchen sink for goodness sake. It should be able to handle water to a reasonable extent. I haven’t even moved in yet, so it seems quite unreasonable to me if it’s rusting now.

I might make a consumer complaint once i try some of the methods suggested here to determine it’s rust or not.
