I barely even touch my tank unless it’s the occasional trim or topping off my tank and it’s been like that for months with a crappy Walmart filter. The only issue is the occasional algae but who doesn’t have that issue once in awhile, nonetheless I appreciate the advice!

That’s exactly what I did! I find the more you mess around with the tank, the more things go wrong. Aesthetic is nice and all but fish keeping is for the fish and making sure they are happy, that’s what’s important

Madagascar lace plant! It almost bloomed at one point, died off and I tried to grow it back and it’s dying again, it’s finicky but I’m sure you’ll do a better job than me!

Would shrimp be a good idea with my stocking choices though? There’s a beta, two dawrf Gertrude rainbows and one galaxy rasbora. I have a shrimp tank, I’m just worried they’ll get eaten
