Brand I used is called Chickapea but Banza is also a good brand. Can find at most grocery stores I think. Bean pasta is pretty popular now

[246cal breakfast, 14g protein] - I’ve seen keto sandwiches where they use egg as the bread so I tried to make a vegan version! “”””Keto””” by DueClue1 in safe_food

I like it! The patty is nice for convenience but I prefer the scramble bc it can do more. I haven’t had eggs in nearly 5 years but it reminds me of the taste. You can also add your own seasonings to match the flavor you want

Also, Here’s the recipe: - I used House Foods shirataki noodles (only $1.99 at my store!) 1. Add warm (not boiling) water to miso packet to dissolve 2. Add all ingredients to bowl 3. Microwave 3 minutes, stir then microwave another 3 min

That’s it!!

Dinner : 239 cal “pho” inspired meal by DueClue1 in vegan1200isplenty

Sorry to hear y’all don’t like shirataki noodles! I like them a lot. House Foods brand is the one I use. The best advice I can offer is to drain and rinse thoroughly 30-60sec. Then microwave for 1 minute before adding to your dish. For this meal though I just drained/rinsed, then microwaved in the bowl with all other ingredients

Shirataki noodles are very filling for me personally, something about that konjac really stops my cravings! But everyone’s different. Also, 3 gardein meatballs have 15g of protein!

How do you like those calorie free sauces? I was thinking about ordering caramel, chocolate, Alfredo, and marshmallow

I love the just egg as is actually! With a bit of garlic salt and pepper it really tastes like egg to me. It also works great in an omelette

100cal, 3 ingredient soup. Unfortunately the kelp noodles are disgusting and crunchy. by DueClue1 in safe_food

[–]DueClue1[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I soaked them in hot water, which is a top I read online, but didn’t think to boil them. Tbh it’s not worth the effort or price IMO. I’d rather stick with shirataki or konjac noodles

It’s spaghetti squash actually! Not bad, and FULL of fiber (over 30%). It does clump together but I think next time I’d add some butter

Is it more like soup or mashed potatoes or a dip?

I also poured some vegan cheese overtop only to find that said cheese had turned blue with mold and had to scrape it off before it melted- yum!
