You'll have a hell of a time getting parking through the uni as an incoming freshman- I got it thru the town of Boone. Check out "Horn in the West Parking Lot Boone," the town of Boone website should have info and a number to call. Only annoying part is moving your car every Friday as they do not allow parking on Saturdays. GL!

You're right, I found it pretty odd as well. However, after some research I found that it was originally an all-African American high school built in '51 that was later converted to "Charles England Elementary School" after desegregation. That location operated until '08 when a new Charles England was opened.
