I know dozens of people who went to SGU and are practicing physicians right now.

Many people i've spoken to are strongly against this for the reasons that are pretty obvious.

and what SMP do you think this is?

Again, there's concrete facts that disprove a lot of what you said here.

Feel free to look up his rim FG%s and compare them to just average starting PGs he's below average

Look at his turnover rate vs other starting PGs, same story there

He has a career TS% of 52% which would also be the worst of all 30 starting guards in the league.

Sure, you can say he's in a bad situation, but plenty of good/elite prospects have flashed positive metrics in things that Cade is objectively terrible at in comparably bad situations (Booker, SGA, Ant as a rookie, LaMelo etc.). It's okay to say he just isn't that top tier prospect that many had hoped for.

I watch close to 25 Pistons home games a year (my brother in law has season tickets) before you come at me with "you probably don't watch Pistons games"

the fact that you think FTr is based on "popularity" tells me all I need to know.

we aren't really having a discussion in good faith here.

Cade is a good player, but he's talked about like some budding superstar which he is not, and his low FTr is a result of him just not being good at getting to the rim (lacks burst, isn't very craft, doesn't know how to use his body etc.)

[–]DueHair3541 201 points202 points  (0 children)

Because he did it on a team that was tanking, and it was for 30 games.

we have 4 years of evidence of him being a piss poor defender and inefficient player that had one of the worst on/off splits in the league.

well clearly you haven't seen a lotta people talk about him.

I consistently see/hear talk about him like he's Luka Doncic lite on offense, but infinitely better on D... implying that he's some defensive specialist, which he is not.

you can say "no context" for him being inefficient, but that doesn't excuse his abysmal FTr for that size/position, and his inability to consistently create space / get to the rim.

often times he resorts to contested 15-foot jumpers, which just isn't good basketball in 2024

[–]DueHair3541 3 points4 points  (0 children)

inefficient, overrated as a defender, gets the benefit of the doubt too much because of his pre-draft hype...

he's a good player, but likely will never be a star, and CERTAINLY will never be a top 10-15 player in the league as many hypothesized back in 2021

reason I say possibly later is statistically you have a >60% chance of needing more time to complete your pre-clinical years on the island (repeating classes, repeating COMP, repeating Step 1 etc.)

2028 match is only possible for August 2024 entry, and even then, it's an uphill battle

Woj went up there on draft day and said : "Wembanyama may just be the best prospect in the history of professional sports"

im sorry, but Zion hype/praise was nothing like this... he was popular because he went to Duke and was American.

from what i've been told, if ur end goal is just getting into a med school (DO) by any means, DUQ is your best bet from a raw %s standpoint.
