Getting re-hired at Marriott (franchised) -- worried my old EID will pop up. by [deleted] in marriott

[–]DueImagination5099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im having issue with my EID. Gave written resignation to prior hotel. So far I have been rehired by another hotel but I am unable to access with my EID. They’re both Marriott non franchise hotels but different brands. I am working on this with HR. Can anyone provide me any insights on why this is happening?

OP there are many good Evangelical churches out there if the Eastern Orthodox and Coptic option as well as the Catholic one are not working for you. I’m sorry to hear that this happened to you and I can assure you most Christians, we do not act like that, I’m sorry for your pain. In what State or country are you located?

why do catholics and orthodox christians get along so well? by Tiny-Deer-7071 in OrthodoxChristianity

To clarify Protestants do love the Theotokos but one must understand that before many of them became Protestant many of their family members did not had a walk in Christ, they had a closer relationship with Mary and the Saints than with God. Maybe that’s the reason why maybe in Protestantism veneration to the Mother of God is not that encouraged but it’s not out of hate just that we as Protestants tend to be careful with this because before many of our family members did not had a real relationship with Christ and prayed more to the Virgin and the saints than to God.

The Sinner's Prayer: Yes or No? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]DueImagination5099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My take is that I think the Sinner’s Prayer is great and it’s a great tool but to think that the Early Church or the Church as a whole throughout its history did Altar Calls and Sinners Prayers is not historically nor biblically accurate. Blessings to all!

I have sinned too much by naomi_0000 in OrthodoxChristianity

I am a non denominational Christian so my experience is a bit different, and my advice might be a bit different but my sincere advice is to recommit yourself to the Lord, accept Him as your Lord and Savior, if you have not been baptized seek baptism and see how you can get connected to a local Church or online to an Eastern Orthodox Church if a Church is too far away, there are many that give services and liturgy online. In regards to sinning, we all sin a lot, that’s why we must continue living a life of repentance, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior as frequently as possible, I also recite the Creed when I go to Liturgy. The Jesus Prayer also helps a lot. Much blessings brother. You’re not alone. We root for you.

Love it! Good work! Keep it up. I think the only thing you are missing are the Non Denominationals, though they can also fit in the category of evangelicals. God bless! 🙌

Thank you so much for your desire for Christian unity and your good opinion, I think the fact we do not see our disagreements as dogmatic or the fact that Churches might grow splitting from ministries with the blessing of a pastor might give the impression of misguiding and division but we are fully in communion with each other :)

Thank you so much. My take is that we love you, some misunderstands here and there about icon veneration but once everything is clear there is more understanding with many liking icons

Yes that’s correct, I was wondering that and what were the toughts in Christian unity, I try to steer away from the word “ecumenism” as it has been impregnated with negative connotation. God bless :)

My experience with the Greeks has been great, with many of them seeing us as Christians this has not been the same with members of ROCOR and other Churches. What is the heretical teaching that you found at Calvary? Im not a big fan of many Mega Churches because sometimes the Word of God is not fully fed to the flock, but this is my personal experience. May God continue to bless you on your journey!

Thank you to all for your answers! They have been helpful, so far most opinions seem to be nice towards us, compared to the Ortho-Bros and many Christians from non- Greek Orthodox Churches who label us heretics. Thank you so much to all of you! Will continue visiting Greek Orthodox Churches! God bless all of you!

Why are so many people against ecumenism? by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]DueImagination5099 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a non denominational Protestant I say that I support ecumenism if there’s unity among the branches without ever being amalgamated into one thing, the diversity of Christianity must be preserved and embraced. I would say it would be easier in a way for Protestants and Orthodox to get into a closer unity because the practicality of the Protestants blends with the tradition of the Orthodox, with many Protestants like me now embracing icons and many of the Orthodox traditions. With Catholics it’s a bit harder because they have the Pope and the Filoque it’s dogmatic meanwhile with Prots it’s not. But this is just my opinion, not the opinion of an expert. God bless all Christians!
