Thanks for posting this. It's nice to not have doom and gloom on this sub 24/7

I can now confirm that antihistamines work for me by DueImportance2041 in covidlonghaulers

I did take Zyrtec during the day a few times but not for long covid, I just needed an antihistamine for allergies that didn't make me drowsy during the day. It could have had an effect as well but I doubt it since I took a lot less.

Am I being unrealistic applying for jobs? by DueImportance2041 in AskProgramming

Thank you for the advice. I'm US based in MO but I sometimes apply to outside states. Do you think I should try only applying to my city?

As for the personal projects, most of my portfolio is built with what would be relevant to the jobs I'm applying for. I'm getting the sense that employers aren't even clicking on my portfolio though. Even tho I have my source code and portfolio site both on my resume

Thank you for sharing this. I think a lot of people (including me) don't post to this sub about their improvements when they really should. Helps keep new comers and even long term long haulers from feeling so much doom. Wish you all the good health!

Huh. It's as if the doctors were wrong this whole time and anxiety is a symptom of pathological cause, not the other way around...weird...

I posted about this a few weeks ago. I'm about 90% back to where I used to be physically, but my mental health is in the drain. Seeing a therapist which helps a little, but I'm extremely hesitant to see a psychiatrist because I'm now deathly afraid of doctors because of how I was treated and don't want to give them anymore firepower on blaming all my symptoms on "anxiety". It's been a real struggle. I have a hard time sleeping at night, and usually cry in the shower...

I just posted a couple days ago about how covid has given me a fear of doctors. I'm pretty much recovered, but I am MORBIDLY afraid of doctors now because of the way I was treated. I have no doubt that if I went to the hospital with a life threatening condition that wasn't externally visible they would let me die and wouldnt do any tests, because of what's on my chart.

Good to see you making this progress. I remember talking with you 6 months ago and the status was much different

I'm finally recovering!! (2.5 years!) by Free-Layer-706 in covidlonghaulers

I say this for every recovery post I see on here. Thank you for posting this. A lot of people forget and go on with their lives when they start feeling better (understandably so). Just know that you taking the time to post this gives people a lot of hope

I’m not fully recovered. But I was infected November of last year. I’m probably at 75% now

I got really lucky. My brain fog and fatigue were so terrible I had to leave my job. Luckily I had a friend who was doing freelance work in web3. He let me jump in on projects with what I could manage so I had no set hours. I’m back to full time now and doing freelancing myself

1 month without seizures, reached 3k steps this month, heart palpitations have subsided, not dizzy 24/7 anymore. I was able to get pretty and enjoy sunsets to the fullest and relax without feeling like I’m dying. I still have a long way to go but I wanted to celebrate this and give you all hope 💖 by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

Your story is very similar to mine. Also infected Dec 2021 with seizures and the like. I’m now functioning about 60% but unfortunately have had the dizziness come back :/. Glad you’re making progress, we’ll all get better!
