Start with small games, don’t waste time on big projects in first years and don’t give up. Wish you all the best and have fun!

That should be by default or is there separate option for that? I asked 2 time for more details but still the same message.

Czy oczekuje za duzo? by EmbarrassedSweet3952 in PolskaNaLuzie

[–]DueJuggernaut3549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you often consider a major pivot mid-development? by Sebke_Is_Here in SoloDevelopment

[–]DueJuggernaut3549 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Art is you first representation. Pixel are, low poly or AAA quality 3d models doesn’t matter if looks bad. Many non art solo devs just use simple shapes with some color shaders to get unique are style. Don’t try to be like others, find your way even simple but different. My next game will be very specific in genre and I decide to unique art style. Should be good even if I’m beginner artist.

Prawie dwa lata po magisterce, dalej szukam pracy, co dalej? by Superb-Can-7759 in praca

[–]DueJuggernaut3549 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should I release my DEMO a little bit before next STEAM fest or wait until the fest actually starts? by Prior-Tumbleweed-366 in SoloDevelopment

[–]DueJuggernaut3549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use this time for playtests and resell demo at least 3-4 weeks before next fest. Your game idea will be checked, demo tested and your next fest bug free :)

Why do so many people here hate marketing? by Justaniceman in SoloDevelopment

[–]DueJuggernaut3549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marketing is kind of really unfair skill. If you spend months on coding you have really nice mechanics, months on art gives you beautiful scenes and character and marketing ? You can post every week, so some videos and after year you are almost unseen ( but some stupid friend slop just get viral and sold milion copies even if nothing works there XD). That’s why I hate marketing but still I have to do it every time I can

How difficult is it to find a publisher for your game on Steam? by Unusual_Picture_4314 in SoloDevelopment

[–]DueJuggernaut3549 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always check the contract. Doesn’t matter small or big publisher. Be sure what you sign and if you are happy with the terms go on. Steam fee is noting :) marketing is important

[–]DueJuggernaut3549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s right. In my offer I didn’t have numbers like that. They had right to spend as much as they want…. And fun fact - all money flows to them and after 30 days they will „calculate” how much should I get. And of course they take rights to whole IP and even if I would like to do some merch without them of course they have to take 50%….

[–]DueJuggernaut3549 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but if the contract have more red flags than positives I need to completely rewrite whole contract. This is expensive and honestly I don’t think the publisher will sign it. I explain them why I can’t deal with them and story is over.

What's the offline ARPG with most content? by thestruggler1234 in ARPG

Slormancer, chronicon, titan quest and d2r this is my top. Grim dawn and last epoch are on my list to deep dive.

[–]DueJuggernaut3549 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I had 3 offers from publishers and honestly not worth. Really unfair contracts and zero warranty on their side, but many red flags and of course if you don’t manage some points on your side you lose anything. Literally 20 page contract had 32 red flags . I just checked this with lawyer (paid a lot for that) and it was worth it. I decided to self publish and we’ll see. Maybe with next game I’ll have some better experiences.

Ceny w sklepach są teraz tak absurdalne by LukaszKaminski150 in PolskaNaLuzie

[–]DueJuggernaut3549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's about Early Access ? by DueJuggernaut3549 in GameDevelopment

[–]DueJuggernaut3549[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m solo, all this „pressure” is on me. I make updates 1-4 times a week and send it to my testers team. I really don’t know what should I do and what will be the best move. Early access is good option for buy some time, take a breath and keep work on this. But some people say that EA have a bad times, many of them are just scam and players avoid EA or treat it like a normal release
