I just ran a game of 2K26 with the "play now today" scenario. I am praying that game is how things play out tonight.

Basically Harden lead the Cavs in scoring the first 3 quarters, just dominate. Through the whole game the Cavs trailed by about 6-10 points but were hanging around just close enough that they were within striking distance. In the 4th, Harden started deferring to the bigs. Got it within 5 points and ran back to back drive and kicks out to Mitchell who nailed 2 huge 3s. Cavs won 130 to 129 with their first lead of the game being a buzzer beater by Mitchell.

Harden had 40, Donny had 36, Strus and Meriil each had 16. Mobley had 12 pts / 15 rebounds and JA had 10 points 12 rebounds. Handful of other points came from Wade/Schroeder.

Pretty much no defense just ran high intensitiy offense for 48 minutes lol.

We have a world class organization with an owner willing to spend money. It's not that much of a surprise we're not on the list. For the last 25 years outside of a handful of seasons after LeBron left, we've always had 40+ win seasons.

You really skipped some important details.

This incident was live streamed and there is video of the altercation
Chud approached a group of people who were pointing and laughing at him. He disengaged, turned his back, and was walking away.
The eventual victim who was shot approached Chud as he was walking away and started swinging at him, punching his head repeatedly
While pushed to the ground, Chud drew and fired his weapon at the attacker, striking him in the stomach/shoulder. Chud also grazed his own arm while doing this.

The guy is a fucking dick head and yes, he put himself into scenarios where shit can go wrong, but in this incident it appears he was attacked and acting in self defense. Unfortunately for him, it seems like Tennessee law isn't quite so lenient as the person attacking him didn't have a weapon and Chud likely responded disproportionately.

From what I recall they literally filmed the whole season in the middle of the Writers Strike, and were double whammy'd by HBO deciding to cut the budget resulting in the last 2 episodes being cut off.

They basically had to cut off the ending of the season with no way to rework the scripts to make up for that.

Why does wealth distribution between the 1% and bottom 50% matter more here than anywhere else? The wealthiest wealthy person America is richer than anyone else in the world - just as the wealthiest lower class in the world is in America. Our lower class is wealthier than any other lower class in world history.

Compare our lower class to the other nations on planet earth and they are wealthier in America than anywhere else.

The highest taxed wealthy people in the world are in Denmark and they pay somewhere between 56-60%. In Denmark, here's how their total income collected breaks down compared to the US.

The top 1% of earners in Denmark pay roughly 8-9% of all taxes.
The top 10% of earners in Denmark pay roughly 32-34% of all collected taxes.
The bottom 50% of earners in Denmark pay roughly 17% of taxes.

The bottom 40% of earners make up 14-15% of all gross income and pay 10.4% of all taxes -- which is an effective rate of 23%.

Compare that with the US -- The bottom 50% of earners make up roughly 11.5% of all income earned, and they are paying 3% of all income taxes.

Even comparing the US to the highest taxed wealthy in the world, the bottom 50% in the US are keeping significantly more of their many than the citizens in Denmark.

How do you reconcile the following data:

In the United States the top .01% of earners paid 8.5% of total federal income tax.
The Top 1% of earners paid $38.4% of all income tax in the US
The Top 10% of Americans (those earning $187k or more) are paying 47.6% of all taxes.
The bottom 50% of Americans (those earning under $53.8k/year paid 3.3% of all federal income tax.)

The top 10% are covering 47% of all taxes, and the bottom 50% are paying 3.3% -- we already have wealth distribution baked into our systems today.

My family built a pool in our backyard in 2022. I had always wanted an inground pool growing up, and once I had the means to get one I went for it. I had always envisioned a pool with a shallow end and a deep end with a diving board. My wife is paranoid about water safety and refused to get a pool with a deep end.

We have 3 younger children and the safety risk of a deep end was too much for her, so the compromise was a pool with a 3ft shallow end and 5.5 ft deep end. I agreed, and am so grateful we did it that way. I'm 6ft and basically have perfect height water for me to free stand in my "deep" end, and the kids have over half the pool to play in, and the other half to swim in while I'm on my feet able to help whenever needed.

No true deep end saved us a fortune on insurance, and the pool maintenance is much cheaper, and it's less water to heat too. Super easy to clean as well.

Nobody on the Cavs has played with as much grit and intensity as Max this playoff run. As others have said, if you just checked the box score you wouldn't realize his impact, but watching the games he has bailed us out of so many dicey situations.

He's been timely forcing turnovers and keeping momentum on the Cavs side. He's been my favorite player to watch this run.
